🩹 Bandaging long term ✂️

Managing wounds long-term can be a pain for both horse and owner! Especially over a high motion area. Sometimes we have to use really sticky, adhesive material to get the bandage to stay in place. If you need to change the bandage every couple of days, the horses start to really resent it! Pulling that sticky material off of their hair can be extremely painful!

This little trick can help! Try placing a cuff of sticky material above and below the area of concern. Mark it so you remember not to accidentally cut it! Then stick all of your adhesive material to each cuff, above and below! Those cuffs stay in place and only are changed as needed, or as they become loose!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Just to give everyone ample notice: the office will be closed on Christmas Eve through the 26th. Limited availability for appointments on the 27th. We will also be closed on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day!

We know we look forward to this time of the year to recharge with our families before starting the new year, we hope you get to find some peace and happiness this holiday season as well!
