Almost 30 years experience in the dog show world, 15 years as a groomer, previously worked in a veterinary office as a technician and receptionist. You can be assured your dog is well cared for and loved while here. Only a handful of grooms are taken each day which means a quieter environment, faster service, and lower stress for your loved family member.

BREAKING NEWS -- use caution when feeding your dog fresh food from brands such as The Farmers Dog, JustFoodForDogs and Nom Nom⚠️

The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine Urolith Center has discovered a NEW urinary stone and the likely cause🔬
The UMN Urolith Center is the laboratory we use for all bladder stone a**lysis that are conducted for HAH patients and we recently received notification of this new information.

These new stones are called "calcium tartrate tetrahydrate" (CTT) uroliths according to Dr. Lulich (co-director of UMN Urolith Center). Canine patients get "choline bitartrate" (the main compound in CTT uroliths) from fresh dog food and supplements recommended for dogs that eat homemade food.
The data collected by Dr. Lulich and his team showed a clear link between choline bitartrate found in some of the most popular fresh dog food brands -- including The Farmers Dog, JustFoodForDogs and Nom Nom -- and the newly discovered CTT uroliths.

This discovery was published in April 2025 in the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine.

Is your pup shedding yet?
I just noticed today that my short haired girl is shedding….a lot!
It’s the sun & amount of daylight, not the cold/warm weather that triggers this.

Get ahead of the mess, if they have a good bath & blow dry to work out the start of the shedding, then again in a month, it should really limit the hair tumble weeds blowing through your home!

Did your doggo have as much fun in the rain on Friday as my poodle Ayla Grace? She was quite proud to show off her water dog genetics (yes, poodles are hunting dogs!) splashing & jumping in every puddle!😂

I laughed & let her enjoy herself, then once we were done I scooped her up & she got her bath & blow dry.

Remember if your pup got super wet, look for any knots/matting. Places to pay special attention to are ears, behind the ears, under collars, where coats/sweaters lay on the body, arm pits/chest, the spot where hind legs & abdomen meet, back/side of thigh. Any place where there is friction from other body parts or coats. The place where there is least likely to have matts? The back! But that is where everyone brushes the most😊
Add cornstarch to any matts, then pick apart with a metal comb, ideally one with wider spacing & narrow spacing on the same comb. Use the wide end to pick through the knot while you watch tv, afterward the narrow side should be able to glide through. If the narrow spacing can’t get through the coat, your dog will have to be shaved because a clipper comb can’t make it through either.

And if you don’t want to deal with it, contact me & we can arrange an appointment. Even if your dog was groomed just a few weeks ago, if your pup has any length, tangles happen easily, which become bad matting.

Our Story

Decades of experience as a dog groomer, show dog handler, vet tech and receptionist, you can be assured your dog is well cared for and loved like one of my own while here. Only one dog or family of dogs are scheduled at a time. If your dog is the only one, they never sit in a crate as long as they are dropped off and pick up at scheduled times. This means much lower stress to your loved family member because they aren’t sitting in a room full of other stressed, barking dogs and the nonstop noise of blow dryers and they aren’t away from their home and family all day long. This is the perfect situation for easily stressed, elderly, or nervous dogs, as well as folks that just don’t want their fur babies away from them for 6-10 hours.
