Our Heartfelt Appreciation to All! ❤

Grateful Goldens Rescue would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who attended the Fall 2024 Low Country Golden Retriever Meet-Up yesterday in Mt. Pleasant. It was a fantastic gathering of beautiful Goldens (and other breeds) and amazing people.

To those who supported our event in person, made online donations, or mailed checks, we express our deepest gratitude. Thanks to your generosity, we raised close to $2,000 for the medical care of our rescued Goldens, with more donations expected from additional sources. 🙌

Special thanks to Hobcaw Brewing Company for providing a wonderful venue, The Wedge food truck for serving up great food, photographer Bobby Carrier and his trusty assistant, KaySea, and our announcer Glenn Raus and his shadow, Duke. These two sweet Goldendoodles are looking for a new loving home after their owner had to move into assisted living.

Frances, age 12, and Archie, age 8, are a bonded pair, so we’re looking for a home where they can stay together. Both were well cared for and have loving personalities. Frances, though a bit frail at her age, has shown no major health issues aside from a UTI, which she is currently being treated for. Our main focus is improving her overall strength.

These adorable dogs get along well with other dogs and would make wonderful additions to any family. We are searching for a family willing to foster or adopt this wonderful duo together.

🌟 A heartwarming update on GGR alum, Finley! 🌟

Finley’s mom recently shared some wonderful news about her boy. “I wanted to give you guys an update on Finley. He is truly an amazing dog and came into my life at just the right time. I lost my mom suddenly in July, and Finley has been the light that keeps me smiling. Thank you guys for giving me this boy.”

We are overjoyed that Finley has brought such comfort and happiness to his mom during a difficult time. These pictures say it all! 📸 Great job, Finley—we are so proud of you! 🐾🐕❤️

GGR has lost a Golden friend … 💔🐕🐾

Rory, a beloved Golden friend for many years and a fixture at many of our Grand Strand events, has left us. His Dad has assisted with transporting our goldens and just last year fostered and adopted GGR alum Miles, guiding him through his surgery and recovery.

Rory, thank you for spreading your love at the airport and preparing Miles to take over. May you run free at the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈 We will miss you, big boy! 💙

It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rory. 💔

Rory was an absolute gem who made friends with everyone he met. He was part of the P.E.T.S. program at MYR for over two years with his owner, Tim, a retired Fire Captain from MYR. We will miss him dearly and all of the smiles he brought to travelers.

Tim has adopted a 4-year-old golden named Miles, whom he plans to train and bring for visits once he is certified. We know he will continue in Rory's pawprints, and we're happy another dog in need now has a home.
