📣 Please welcome Greg, our Licensed Veterinarian Technician! 📣

Greg started with VCMB in August. He has been a Licensed Veterinarian Technician from Bel-Rea in Colorado since 2011. Greg grew up in VA where he started his journey in Vet Med. after getting his license he moved to Washington State where he practiced mainly in Emergency and Specialty medicine. Greg gravitates to complex medicine cases but is excited to be back in General Practice again! He is thrilled to be back on the East Coast where he can apply his skill and knowledge to helping animals in need. Outside of work you can find Greg learning to hunt, riding his motorcycle, going fishing, working on fixing his house, and loving to do tinkering projects. Greg’s favorite thing about Vet Med is being an advocate for those who can’t advocate for themselves.
Be sure to welcome Greg to the team next time you are in! 🐾

They have been with VCMB the last couple of months and have been bonding with all of our boarders and providing exceptional care for all the fur babies that have been vacationing with us. We had a GREAT time celebrating Dr. Thomas yesterday!! If you had the pleasure of meeting her then you know just how special she is to our clinic and our community! We will miss her greatly but are so excited for all the new adventures she will be taking going into her retirement. Nonetheless, we are paws-itively sure that with all that she has taught us, her legacy will continue through all of us at VCMB!

As we gather to celebrate Independence Day with family and friends, let's not forget our furry companions! Here are some tips to keep your pets safe and calm during the festivities:

🎇 Create a Safe Space: Make sure your pets have a quiet, comfortable place to retreat away from the noise.
🐶 Keep Them Indoors: Fireworks can be frightening for pets. Keep them indoors and secure windows and doors.
🐱 Update ID Tags: Ensure your pets' ID tags and microchip information are up to date, just in case they get scared and run off.
🐾 Avoid Fireworks: Never use fireworks around pets. They can cause severe burns and trauma.
🎆 Watch the BBQ: Be mindful of what your pets eat. Certain foods can be harmful to them.
