Mika is just starting the program, she is a 10 month Dutch shepherd. Myah is young so it will be a while before she is ready but we expect great things.
More new dogs are on the way.
Hidden equipment
Video showing that hidden equipment should not present a signature that activates the dog to want to bite. Here I play tug with the dog then have the officer immediately go search the trailers for narcotics. Once the dog alerts I become agitated and the dog reacts
Too many times we see k9 officer screaming and jerking on thier dog unable to get them to Out on a street bite. Not sure why we are verbally outing our dogs when we are hands on but what ever.
I teach my officer to use a handcuff which they should have on them anyway. In the video below you will see how quick and easy the method is and is harmless to the dog.
I give full credit to a mentor and friend Clay Smith of Clay's Top Dogs.
I teach all my dogs to out but understand their is a difference between certification BS and reality. Stop training for certification and train for reality.
Please try this technique and show it to everyone you train with.
Vaako
Vaako Learning Obedience, very eager to please his handler
Turbo
Nothing like only having a single piece of leather between your arm and the jaws of a K9 to understand the pressure and power. Even worse I made the sleeve and for some reason no one else wants to try it.
This is Turbo a 13 month old male
