🏥 Are you a new client and looking to save some time completing paperwork at your appointment? 🏥

Our website not only allows for you to set up an appointment that works with your schedule, but you can fill out your new client information form online before you step foot in the office.

🐾Did you know that we offer boarding?🐾

We are more than happy to accommodate your pet and their needs during this busy holiday season! For Christmas and New Year’s we still have openings for both dogs and cats!

By boarding at our hospital you have the option of adding a nail trim, a bath, or other services we offer such as an exam to your stay without having to travel elsewhere! If your pet has special needs, such as medication, our staff is trained for that!

For our dogs, we have a spacious fenced in yard for your pet to use during their stay, and our large dogs stay in 3’x8’ or 3’x10’ kennels while the smaller dogs and cats stay in the kennels in the back of the clinic (Darwin posed in his kennel for us for reference)!

If you would like to book your pet in for boarding or have any further questions, please contact us at (936) 569-8726.

We look forward to seeing your fur babies!

🦃 Keep your babies away from the gravies! 🦃

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and we would like to keep your pets happy and healthy by reminding you of some typical holiday foods that can be dangerous to feed your pets:

- Turkey (particularly bones, skin, and gravy)
- Onions and Garlic
- Stuffing
- Mashed Potatoes
- Cranberry Sauce
- Grapes and Raisins
- Dough (raw or baked)
- Dairy products
- Fat Trimmings (cooked or raw)

We would also like to let our clients know that our office will be closed Thursday and Friday (11/28 + 11/29) this week for our employees to enjoy the holiday and we will return to seeing patients on Monday 12/2.

🥳 Surprise! 🥳

Meet Dr. Meredith Stanaland, our newest addition at Nacogdoches Animal Hospital!

Dr. Stanaland graduated from Texas A&M Veterinary College of Medicine in 2015 after attending Stephen F. Austin State University. She began her career as an associate veterinarian in Frisco, Texas and developed into a chief of staff in 2017. In 2020, she became a medical director in the Dallas/Fort Worth area mentoring and developing doctors.
Dr. Stanaland cherishes building lifelong relationships with her clients and patients. She enjoys small animal dentistry, internal medicine, and preventative care cases. She is a member of AVMA, TVMA/welfare committee, and local county VMA.
While attending undergraduate classes at SFA, Dr. Stanaland met her husband Austin. Austin and Meredith have one daughter, Jody, and over the years they have added 3 horses, 2 dogs, and 2 cats to their family. In her spare time, you can find Dr. Stanaland riding horses.

Join us in welcoming Dr. Stanaland during your next visit!

Churro presented at five months old for a puppy exam and vaccines. At the visit, Dr. Koinm heard a very loud heart murmur and recommended a visit to the cardiologist at Texas A&M to determine the underlying cause.
Churro was diagnosed with a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), which is a congenital heart defect that if left untreated can cause the dogs to go into congestive heart failure before one year of age.

Thanks to the amazing surgery team at Texas A&M, Churro is recovering well after surgery at home with her mom.
At Nacogdoches Animal Hospital, we cannot stress the importance of having your veterinarian examine your pet for every puppy visit to ensure they are happy and healthy.

Bob came into the clinic today for his first check-up and was loving all of the attention and Churu!
Your pet’s first vet appointment is one of the most important! Not only do you begin building your relationship with your pet’s veterinarian, but your pet receives their first vaccines, if parasites are present in your pet’s stool they are properly treated for them, and it establishes a baseline for their general health that can be referenced in the future!
