• What ingredients are in your soaps?
We source the purest and safest raw ingredients (FDA cleared) that are made in the USA from our trusted wholesale supplier of the past 15 years. We do not use SLS detergents, artificial colors, or fragrances. Our soaps are hand-crafted in very small batches to ensure quality and freshness.
For the Three Butter soap, the raw ingredients are- Common Name Ingredient Listing (FDA Cleared): Sorbitol, Coconut Oil, Propylene Glycol, Stearic Acid, Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Cocoa Butter, Titanium Dioxide, Phthalate-free fragrance/ essential oils, cosmetic grade mica mineral powder.
• How long will my soaps last?
This depends on your climate, especially temperature and humidity, as well as how they are stored. The natural oils will turn darker over time making the soaps appear less white, however, they are still safe to use. The natural fragrance oils will also fade with time. We do not recommend storing for over one year. Please use a soap dish that will allow the soap to drain from excess water. Our soaps are beautiful but also filled with wonderful butter may keep your hands soft and so we recommend using them daily!
• Why should I buy a solid bar of soap and not liquid soap?
Liquid soap is very expensive to ship around the world, and also requires plastic containers that are generally not biodegradable. Further, it does not last very long. We have been making solid bars of soap for years with great results, and believe this is the best soap you can buy for these reasons and more!
• Why should I buy from Jake’s Soap Cakes?
We are a small, family-owned business in Idaho, and we provide vocational training and employment for adults with special needs. Jake is a young adult with autism, and he enjoys making soaps. His favorite soaps are animal shapes!
