Police K9 Decoy Workshop 2025 is scheduled for April 16-17, 2025 and will be hosted by the Jerome County Sheriff’s Office.

This course is for law enforcement and military only. It is a ID POST certified course so will you receive POST credits for attending. No past experience decoying is necessary to attend. Command staff audits are free for this course.

You will learn how to safely and effectively decoy for police dogs; which will help you be a better asset for your K9 team while helping build and improve the K9’s.

K9 handlers are welcome to attend for free and work their K9’s in the class to give them more exposure to different scenarios and multiple decoys with different skill levels. If any issues present themselves during this course, we will problem solve them on the spot in order to set your dog up for success and for everyone to learn.

Hey everyone! This sweet little girl is Raley and she’s looking for her forever home! She’s about 5 months old and has a really sweet temperament just not very confident when it comes to a lot of distractions or different environments. We’ve started some basic obedience skills with her but she still has a lot to learn. If someone rehomes her and does not have a trainer that they already use, we will offer some free private sessions with you to help the transition be as smooth as possible. Thank you to everyone who came out to our Decoy Workshop this weekend! Tons of knowledge went around, tons of work, and everyone got alot of bites under their belt. Thank you to every decoy and handler that took time out of their weekend to make this another successful class! We had decoys and handlers from almost every agency in the valley attend! With the weather coming, we ask that everyone notifies us via text or email if they plan on attending so we know who to contact if there’s inclement weather or a change of location.

These classes are a great way to maintain your training and meet others with the same common goal - bettering your relationship with your dog! Any client who completes any of our programs (private sessions, day training, or board & train) is welcome to attend. Our Decoy Workshop for this year will be November 9-10, 2024 in Meridian, ID. This course is ID POST Certified and is open to all MIL/LE K9 units. Attendees will receive POST credits.

Working K9’s and their handlers are welcome to attend at no charge to get good repetitions with multiple different decoys and scenarios. If a dog is having issues, we will break the issue down and problem solve it for everyone to see and learn. No experience is necessary for a decoy working spot.

Command staff audits are free for this course.
