Kim and Bliss had a blast practicing recalls in the training facility recently. As a Club Member she rented it for a minimal fee.
What? Members can rent the building?
That's correct! For only $10, a member can rent the space for an hour. Or train-n-practice with other members (up to 5 teams for only $25). It's a great way to spend time with your pup in a safe location.
This is a Member Only Perk. Vouchers/coupons can be used. Check out the details on our website: www.nvdtc.org/member-building-use/.

Last night's club meeting was enjoyed by members and their pups at the LUCK of the IRISH.
Here Cheryl M. and her little cutie participated in the 20 Yard Dash.
For the last post of Train Your Dog Month we offer you ideas for a DYI Dog Friendly Home Obstacle Course.
Dogs young and old love to play in their own homes and backyards. So why not fix it up a bit by adding items from your garage, local discount or second hand store? Even a sheet thrown over a table makes a fun 'tunnel' for your pup.
Here is a video of club member, Marilane's, enrichment yard for a foster puppy. If you have some photos of DYI items, please share them in the comments.
This handout has some great ideas. Take a look!http://nvdtc.org/dogfun/DYI-Dog%20FriendlyObstacleCourse.pdf
We can play and train our pups anywhere. Here Debbie's sweet lil' Joey enjoy retrieving a ball amongst the tables and chairs.
It's hard to imagine a more distracting environment?! Well done Joey.

Marilane writes: Aero's recalls inside our home, in the backyard, and at the training facility are solid, but in the Real World, Aeronaut finds me a bit boring.
Several months ago I started giving him more freedom to investigate on a long line with the choice to check in with me from a distance or coming to me on his own. This game has made his walks more enjoyable and his connection to me more consistent with distractions.

After a good training session, letting your pup play is a great way to help him / her decompress. Here Debbie let's Archie have some fun with giggle ball.
We love watching him have FUN! Thank you Debbie Hilton for sharing.
Our Happy Graduation posts are almost done for the year with STRENGTHING THE BASICS on Wednesday, Session 7, 2023. This great group of devoted pups and people came out each week to support each other.
What could get better than that? . . . Well a Holiday Do-Si-Do with a holiday background is the best way the say, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
How amazing is your dog's nose?
There is still time to register for next session's training classes! Call 707-253-8666. Registration closes soon. Sign up for a puppy, adolescent, good manners or a special class today before registration closes on July 10th! http://nvdtc.org/pdfs/upcomingNVDTCclasses.pdf
Here our CONFIDENCE BUILDING class takes a stroll around our training facility. Group walks can also create confidence in dogs. Happy people and pups!
Graduation for Puppy and Adolescent Dog classes include a 'puppy proofing par course' where furkids get to show what they've learned and try a few new things too.
A fan favorite is Hide-n-Seek. Here's Copper showing how it done!
Thank you Ben and Taylor for sharing!
