A thoughtful, kind and world changing individual. 💕

With great sadness, the Jane Goodall Institute confirmed this morning the passing of the organization’s founder, Dr. Jane Goodall, age 91 who died peacefully in her sleep while in Los Angeles, CA for her speaking tour in the United States.

Dr. Goodall’s life and work not only made an indelible mark on our understanding of chimpanzees and other species, but also of humankind and the environments we all share. She inspired curiosity, hope and compassion in countless people around the world, and paved the way for many others — particularly young people who gave her hope for the future.

In 1960 Dr. Goodall established the longest running wild chimpanzee study in Gombe National Park, Tanzania which continues to this day. She pioneered and sustained the Jane Goodall Institute’s community-centered conservation initiatives across the chimpanzee range for over four decades. Her legacy includes the creation of JGI’s international environmental and humanitarian youth program Roots & Shoots, which is actively driving change in 75 countries and counting around the world.

The Jane Goodall Institute is incredibly grateful to all our supporters, partners, and friends, especially during this difficult time. To add a personal remembrance of Dr. Goodall and continue her legacy for future generations, please visit JaneGoodall.org/RememberingJane

Please help with research to better understand dogs with noise sensitivity.
PPG member Jenni Pfafman is conducting research on thunderstorm and fireworks-related noise sensitivity in dogs.
The study is for her master’s thesis and will hopefully help us better understand dogs with noise sensitivity.

🐾💛 Thank You, Napa Valley Dog Training Club 💛🐾

Our Client Services Coordinator Gaby is all smiles thanks to your generous donation of supplies for our Clinic!

Last week, our Director of Marketing & Communications, Laticia Sahs, had the honor of speaking at NVDTC’s September General Meeting on “Napa Humane’s Role in Building a Better Future for Local Pets.”

She shared about our work in the community — from preventive care and humane education in schools to outreach programs that support pets and their people in countless ways.

The NVDTC community went above and beyond by also hosting a supply drive for Napa Humane. Thanks to their generosity, Laticia returned with a carload of goodies that will help keep our clinic running smoothly every day. 🐶🐱🐰

We’re so grateful for partners like NVDTC who share our vision of a healthier, happier future for local pets!

Session 5 held a Trick Class with a twist. What twist, you ask? For the first time, this class included the opportunity to complete any level of AKC Trick Titles.

All 15 teams completed Novice Trick Dog (TKN) and Intermediate Trick Dog (TKI) requirements, and thanks to CGC Evaluator and class instructor, Vange L, owners could get the recognition they deserve. Vange also ensured that each TERRIFIC TRICK TEAM received a personalized certificate from the club.

CONGRATULATIONS to all the teams! And THANKS to the club members who provided the items and materials needed to help 15 Fabulous Teams have fun. As Vange said, "It's great to have lots of helpful hands."
