This sweet girl came to see us at UrgentVet after eating the berries from a Christmas Palm. After contacting Pet Poison Control, we were able to determine if the berries were toxic then our team performed bloodwork and supportive care to make sure Nala stayed safe and comfortable.

Mushroom season is here - and that means extra caution for pet parents. 🍄🐾

Many wild mushrooms are toxic to dogs and cats, and it’s not always easy to tell which are dangerous. Ingestion can lead to serious symptoms like vomiting, seizures, or even organ failure.

Here’s how to keep your pet safe:
Remove mushrooms from your yard as soon as you see them
Keep pets leashed during walks or outdoor play in wooded areas
If you suspect your pet ate a mushroom, seek veterinary care immediately
