I love this girl!! Jadyn is such a sweet young German shepherd. She was adopted from Find a Home Give a Home Pet Rescue by a wonderful couple. They are giving Miss Jadyn the best life a dog could ask for.

I can't wait to have her back for boarding while her owners take a little vacation.

Hi everyone! This is Hiko. He is enrolled in our two week board and train program. Hiko was rescued from the Lee county animal shelter about a month ago. His new owners wanted to make sure that he had a great start with them. Hiko is learning Place, down, recall, wait at the door, loose leash walking, and heel.

If you're looking for a new dog to add to your family, please consider looking at local shelters and pet rescues. There are so many great dogs in our shelters and rescue organizations that need a home. Help save a Life!

With the holidays come celebrations and a lot of those celebrations include fireworks. In my neighborhood they are a nightly occurrence this time of year.
If your dog is afraid of fireworks, here are some helpful things to consider.

Get them to their safe place such as a crate. It will help them to be much less scared and anxious. The crate will also prevent your Dog from running off outside or become destructive inside.

Before you take your dog out into public, be sure that your leash and walking equipment are fitted correctly and nothing is worn out, ripped, or broken. Faulty or inferior equipment can possibly break or slip off if your dog attempts to try to run to safety.

Be sure your dog's name tag has the correct contact information and their microchip information is up to date. If your dog does somehow get away from you during a firework show or display, your dogs name tag and microchip are the fastest ways to help get your dog home if you can't find them.

Be proactive rather than reactive. Have a plan of what to do before the fireworks start.

Jadyn is the sweetest girl! She was rescued by a great couple and they want to give Jadyn a great start in her new forever home. She completed a 2 week board and train with us. Jadyn has learned commands such as place, down, recall, wait at the door, and potty training.

Senior dogs need exercise too!

Belle had a great time in the pool today! She is 15 years old! As she has gotten older, her activity level has gone down so swimming is a great way to help her be more active with less impact on her joints.

Impulse control is important for all dogs to learn.

We have worked with Harper on teaching her to wait before she gets in the pool and one of her favorite things is a tennis ball. So we use the tennis ball as a training tool and a reward. Harper loves the water sooo much that she would jump right in. Harper has now been taught not to jump in the pool before she is allowed.

Wait at the door.

Harper is learning great commands such as wait at the door. This helps with impulse control and helps to keep your dog safe from bolting out of the house or a vehicle. We can help your dog learn this too!

Down at a distance and recall with Ayra!

We practice at home and out in public. If you have never practiced recall or downs outside of the house or back yard, your dog may not understand what is expected of it.
