A few months ago, we took a pregnant dog into foster. She had her puppies and was a wonderful mom. The puppies are now old enough to find their own forever homes. We transported them to one of our amazing partners - Cape Coral Animal Shelter - who we transported the puppies to yesterday. Visit them in Cape Coral to adopt one of the puppies, or one of the other amazing animals they have there needing homes.

Thank you to our wonderful foster, Shelly, who fostered and delivered the puppies and cared for the whole family. We could not do what we do without are incredible fosters

Mom is getting spayed at our clinic on the 28th and will be returned to her family. A big thanks to them for doing the right thing and trusting us with their family pet.

Raw Garlic Is Safe! 🧄🤍

Unlike its allium relatives, fresh garlic is actually safe for pets because it contains very little thiosulfate, the compound that makes onion toxic to pets.

When preparing garlic for your pet, it’s best to chop and crush fresh, raw cloves to activate production of allicin. Here are the recommended doses of fresh garlic per day, based on your pet's bodyweight:

🐾 10 to 15 pounds — 1/2 clove
🐾 20 to 40 pounds — 1 clove
🐾 45 to 70 pounds — 1 1/2 cloves
🐾 75 to 90 pounds — 2 cloves
🐾 100 pounds and over — 2 1/2 cloves
🐱 Cats: 1/4 – clove
