Here is a quick introduction from both Zack and Natalie.
Zachary Herbert
I have experience working with young and difficult horses, my first horse was a 4 year old Arab mare that I trained myself. unfortunately last year I had to pull her out of work due to metabolic reasons. I started working with Zeal, a 2011 Hanoverian gelding. He had a past of being difficult to work with, many trainers gave up on him. I worked Zeal for a few months with my trainer Matt Baillargeon, we made great progress and I took him to some Dressage shows and did quite well.
In November of 2023 I moved to Florida. I was a working student for Kyle Carter, an Eventing Olympian for Canada. We worked with Zeal as an eventing prospect. The fourth week of November was the first time Zeal had ever jumped. With many lessons from Kyle, Zeal now has jumped 3’7” . In February of 2024 I started working and riding at a Show Jumping barn for Jenna Friedman-Lopez who was short listed for the Paris Olympic Games. While I was there, I rode many of her horses to keep them in shape and preparing them for the competitions she was entering in.
I have now moved back to Maine. This summer, I am looking to show Zeal in his first Event at Beginner Novice for more exposure. He will be moving up very shortly as he’s been working at the Training level. We are also looking to enter first level in the coming months, working towards our Bronze Medal.

I was so fortunate to be born into horses. I started riding with my parents before I was walking, now I have spent the majority of my life riding and working with horses, I have had the opportunity to ride and train many horses due to my parents program.
My first competitions were english equitation shows, endurance riding, and show jumping events. I started Eventing when I turned 9 years old.
I had an amazing Morgan mare that brought me through to the novice level, sadly I outgrew Dawn.
Now I currently own Landon (Effervescent), a 2006 ISH/Holsteiner gelding that was brought to 4*L by Caroline Martin in 2016. We have been successfully competing at recognized modified level events. I spent the 2021 winter in Aiken S.C as a working student, for Babette Lenna. Winter of 2022 and 2023 I was a student for Karen O’Conner. Over this past winter I worked and rode for Jenna Friedman-Lopez at Oak Ridge Farm. Jenna was shortlisted for 2024 Pairs Olympic Games.
We spend our summers in Maine, working with our Dressage instructor Tosha Zubrisky, on occasion I train with Audrey Bean, and Renae Kachnovich at Sassy Strides Equestrian Center. Now I am currently training under Matt Baillargeon.
Landon is now 18. As he’s getting older I am still Eventing him, although I’m focusing on accomplishing some dressage goals.
