Skyler spent over five years in a home before being returned when her owners moved and couldn’t take her with them. Now, at 7 years old, adjusting to shelter life has been tough — especially for a dog who’s known nothing but a home for so long.

Skyler would love nothing more than to be back in a loving home. She’s crate-comfortable, enjoys relaxing in the pool, and is slowly settling in while we get to know her better. She can’t wait to find her forever family.

Gum Drop and Gummi Bear are available for adoption! These adorable little hamsters are full of personality and looking for their forever homes. Did you know hamsters are natural burrowers who love to dig and create tunnels? Providing them with a deep layer of bedding helps them feel happy and secure!

$5 Friday: Help Lady Bug Heal ❤️🐞

Everyone, meet Lady Bug. She came to us as a transfer from LaBelle — scared, uncomfortable, and clearly having been through far more than any dog ever should. She was found as a stray and had likely been overbred her entire life… yet, she still greeted us with a little tail wag and a brave smile.

Lady Bug had massive, abnormal mammary glands — one even leaking fluid. She urgently underwent a bilateral mastectomy, where both mammary chains were removed and biopsied.

The good news? No cancer. But she did have severe infection and inflammation, and surgery was the only way to save her.

Because of the resources, medical care, and compassion provided by PBHSN, Lady Bug was given a true second chance — the chance she never had before.

💛 This is why $5 truly matters. If everyone donated just $5 today, it would help us continue saying “yes” to dogs like Lady Bug — dogs who arrive broken, hurting, and still hopeful.

Happy Foster Friday! 💛

Meet Snap — a sweet 7-year-old who was having a tough time in the shelter environment and was consistently losing weight. Thankfully, one of our amazing fosters stepped up and gave her a safe, quiet place to decompress for a week.

Snap will be returning to the shelter next week, and we would love to find her a loving home instead. Her foster has nothing but wonderful things to say about her — he’s gentle, easygoing, and so grateful for any affection.

Sweet Otis was recently surrendered to us, and we quickly learned he needed surgery on both of his back knees. 💔 He’s now two weeks post-op — the toughest part is behind him — but recovering in a busy shelter is hard, especially for a dog like Otis who just wants peace and comfort.

We’re looking for a foster to give this gentle boy a quiet place to heal for about two weeks. He’s on restricted activity, may need help walking with a sling, and should take calm, short bathroom breaks.

Otis is the sweetest, most easy going dog — friendly with people and other dogs (though no playtime just yet!). He’s a total love muffin who just wants to be near you. ❤️
