Art and Karyn Smith have been local business owners since 1988, serving the Naples, Florida community with professional, caring services. They have owned and operated a number of successful businesses in Naples, and have turned their passion for their pets in to a love they can share with the community. Their involvement in the American Kennel Club shows and Doberman Pinschers Club have led them t

o seek the most natural way of life for their dogs. Their male Doberman, Sequoia was the Doberman Pinscher Club of America's number one Doberman in 2005. He was among America's Top Twenty Dobermans in 2004, 2005, and 2006. He attended his first Westminster Dog Show at the young age of 18 months, after that he went on to 3 more shows at Westminster of which the Westminster Kennel Club invited him to attend. In 2006 he was awarded an Award of Merit from the Westminster Dog Club. He finally retired from his show career after defeating over 5000 Dobermans. This was all accomplished by the young age of 4. All of this led to a passion for the breed and teaching other people how to attain optimum health for the pets through nutrition and natural products. Almost Wild is an all natural, holistic, and organic pet food and supply store. We are Golden Gate Estates only natural pet supply and boutique. We offer free nutritional consultations to all our customer's pets and a reward program for loyalty purchasing. We have 15 years of experience feeding pets the natural way. The owners have master's degrees in science, health nutrition communication and education from a major university and have studied and adapted this knowledge to animal nutrition. We highly support a raw diet and dry and canned diets that provide pets with ingredients that are biologically appropriate. None of the diets contain wheat, corn, soy or by-products. Treats are also an important part of our companion's well-being and should also be highly digestible and nutritious. It is a favorite of all visiting pets. We also provide raw treats such as bison and beef bones as well as lamb and ham bones. Remember these types of treats must be raw. Our boutique offers thing to keep our pets busy and happy. We have a great supply of toys, handmade beds, collars and leashes. We offer things to pamper your pets and made your life an enjoyable experience with your companion. All products in our store are made in the United States or Canada. Training is now available which also contributes to a positive relationship between you and your pets. Our philosophy is aimed at your communication with your pet. Your pet wants to please you but must understand what you want. In our training sessions you will learn how to effectively communicate to your pets what you want. And while you are away from home bring your dog to our boarding facility. We provide the same dedication to our visiting guest as we do for our own dogs. Each dog is treated as family with 24 hour attention.

Many have been asking why we still have Tyler and Lime. Through no fault of their own but truthfully from the greed and control of another these boys are still with us. They deserve better.
The entire litter was unavailable until recently. We decided to place all females first now we have two remaining males that were considered top choices.
Tyler is available to a companion home and his brother Lime is available to a show home.
Both boys will remain in our possession until the right homes are found.

We were born in the 40s-50s-60s.
We grew up in the 50's-60's-70's
We studied in the 60s-70s-80s.
We were together in the 70s-80s-90s.
We got married or not and discovered the world in the 70s-80s-90s.
Adventuring into the 80s - 90s
We're settling in to the 2000s.
We became wiser in 2010s.
And we’re going strong into 2020 and beyond.
Turns out we went through EIGHT different decades...
TWO different centuries...
TWO different millennials...
We've gone from phone with operator for long distance calls, pay booths, video calls worldwide.
We’ve gone from slides to YouTube, vinyls to online music, handwritten letters to emails and Whats App.
Live games on the radio, black and white TV, color TV, then HD 3D TV.
We went to the video store and now watching Netflix.
We've known the first computers, punch cards, disks and now we have gigabytes and megabytes on our smartphones.
We wore shorts all through our childhood, then trousers, ep pants or mini-skirts, Oxfords, Clarks, Palestinian scarves, jumpsuits, and blue jeans.
We avoided childhood paralysis, meningitis, poliomyelitis, tuberculosis, swine flu and now COVID-19.
We've done roller skating, roller skating, tricycle, bicycle, moped, gasoline or diesel and now we drive hybrids or electric.
We played with the little ones
horses and checkers, ostrich and marbles, 1000 threshold and monopoly, now there's candy crush on our smartphones
And we read... much
And our schoolmates religion was not a subject...
We used to drink tap water and lemonade in glass bottles, and the vegetables on our plate were always fresh, today we get meals delivered
Yes, we have been through a lot but what a beautiful life we have had!
