On August 10, 2024, three of the sickest kittens were brought to us for care. They were found in Immokalee, their rescuer saw them on the side of the road. This little guy is Bruce, the youngest of the three. He came in with a terrible upper respiratory infection, he couldn’t even open his eyes. Every day he got a little better, a little stronger. Today he is ready to find his forever home. Bruce is three months old and very sweet. The Aftermath!
We were really lucky that Hurricane Helene didn’t do more damage. The kitties are all safe but our property needs help. We have lots of downed palm fronds, a destroyed tent and awning. If anyone has some free time tomorrow and would like to lend a hand with cleanup, we would really appreciate it. We need to gather up all the palm fronds. This past Saturday we received a message about a small kitten that was found on the side of the road with his siblings. The other kittens had passed away and this little one had flies surrounding him. The finder picked him up and contacted us. I put him with the mom and kittens we received last weekend. They were rescued by a kind man that found them being suffocated by a heartless human. Anyway, they took the little baby in right away and are treating him like one of their own. When Mom takes a break the kittens fill in by cuddling the little guy. They are just so cute! Please help support our rescue by making a donation or sending cat food. Yesterday a large truck pulled into the cat farm. A gentleman came out holding a box. I had a feeling of what was in there and I was right, adorable little kittens. I immediately panicked thinking these are bottle feeders, where is the mom? Well he grabbed Mom too and put her in the back seat! Earlier in the day he brought his car to a home in Golden Gate Estates, to have some work done. He was in the shop and heard some little noises. He asked the shop owner what it was. His response was to lift up a heavy blanket that was draped over a bucket, showing our cat hero three kittens. He told him he was waiting for them to suffocate and die. Luckily this man has a heart and asked if he could take them and the Mom. Mom was sitting on the other side of the shop, who knows how long the babies had been separated from her. He came directly to us and we reunited Mom and babies right away. I hate knowing these things happen every day, there are cruel people in this world.
