Apple had a fantastic time on her Rescue Recess outing! She enjoyed a break from her kennel, going on an exciting adventure. She loved her long walk in the park and might’ve thought she was the one driving instead of just being the passenger princess! Apple is a sweetheart and, at only 2 years old, is ready to find her a loving home.

Looking for a walking buddy? Join our Rescue Recess team at Humane Society Naples! This program lets our adult dogs enjoy a morning outside the shelter, whether it’s a stroll downtown or a local trail. It’s a great way to help our dogs burn off energy and gain exposure, and it’s perfect for anyone who wants to support us without a big time commitment.

Thank you to DeVoe Subaru of Naples for hosting our Patty & Jay Baker Mobile Veterinary Clinic, where we provided free pet vaccinations and waived adoption fees for the day! We also brought our Paws Around Town bus along with an adorable adoptable puppy—who found a new home that day!

We're raising $1,000 to support Mia’s medical journey, and we need your help! 🐾

Mia recently received a Stelfonta injection to treat her mast cell tumor. Her tumor is now in the process of necrosis, which is expected as the injection works. This has left an open wound that will take a few weeks to heal. If successful, Mia won’t need any further treatment for her tumor, though some cases do require a repeat injection.

In addition to her tumor treatment, Mia is also heartworm positive and currently undergoing heartworm treatment. Your donations will go directly toward covering these vital medical expenses and helping Mia on her path to recovery. Thank you for supporting Mia! ❤️

Meet Merlin, a shy but sweet 12-year-old senior cat. He may take some time to feel comfortable in his new environment, and you might find him hiding at first. But with a little patience (and maybe some Churu to win him over), he’ll slowly come out of his shell. Merlin was sadly surrendered to us when his owner became ill, and it’s been a big adjustment for him, especially after spending his whole life in a home. His adoption fee is waived, and he would thrive in a quiet, loving home where he can show you his true, affectionate personality. If adopting isn’t an option right now, consider fostering Merlin to help him feel more at ease.

Meet Roman! This sweet senior is part of our Adopt a Senior Pet Month spotlight. Roman finds the shelter environment a bit stressful and hasn’t yet met his perfect match. Though he may seem a bit reserved at first, once he warms up, he’s incredibly affectionate and will even "make biscuits" for you! Roman enjoys observing his kingdom from high places and occasionally shares his stories with a soft meow or two. Happy Foster Friday! Meet Lady! She’s a sweet, playful senior who still has plenty of energy to share. Lady loves meeting people and other dogs and currently lives in a foster home with five other dogs, getting along wonderfully with everyone. Although she’s thriving in her foster home, she’s still searching for a forever family. Her adoption fee is waived, and as a member of our Senior Dog Club, her adopter will receive a $500 credit toward veterinary care at our clinic.

Here’s what her foster family has to say: “Lady is an amazing dog—independent, very friendly with kids and dogs, and great with our other five dogs. She’s a swimming enthusiast and hops into the pool daily for a long swim. She walks well on a leash, prefers to not be in a crate. Lady is super affectionate, and we absolutely love her!”
