My name is Craig Park and I was born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand. In fact, I was born and raised less than 10 miles from the factory making the rolls! I have lived and worked all over the world before arriving in the US in 2001. Since 2017, I have called Florida my home, while I have been directly involved in the pet food sector since 2014. Tuesday evening we celebrated the CountryPet Naturals product line entering our 92nd retailer; here in our HQ town of Naples, FL at the iconic, famous Seed To Table. We celebrated the unveiling of a custom freezer and built-in shelving unit for our rolls and Treats. The freezer features pictures of our local customers, Lollie and Spirit (and Spirit attended the opening! "Locals Supporting Locals" is our theme. We had a big turn out. Thank you to everyone who came out in show of support!

This week we delve into DROOL! Dr. Krystal Burns - our favorite holistic vet - out in Los Angeles has switched Eli (drooling in the picture below!) and Moses over to our New Zealand Raw Freeze-Dried Treats, Cod Liver Oil, and All-Natural New Zealand Rolls. She loves the health and wellbeing benefits she is seeing in Eli and Moses. Eli really drools for our Treats, especially Venison Trail Mix. Drooling happens when dogs are anticipating something delicious. Saliva plays an important role in digestion, so the thought of exciting food, like our New Zealand food and treats, gets your dog's mouth watering. Miss Molly is now 13 and is believed to have ulcers in her stomach. The vet put her on appropriate medication but ...the vet prescribed prescription food.She was refusing to eat and with the stomach issues was creating a vicious cycle from lack of eating. Vomiting every morning and dropping major weight. I dropped off a CountryPet Naturals roll hoping it would get her to eat and BINGO!!! She’s been EATING EVERY DAY now!! Which obviously helps her medication work to heal her stomach. So thank you CountyPet Naturals; another dog with medical issues helped with good nutrition!!!"

Dog Food Advisor is a respected consumer publication. Dogs do not NEED carbohydrates in the diets!

"* Zero carbohydrates are nutritionally required by a dog to sustain life.
* National Research Council studies; Protein and fat are needed. Carbs are not. Dogs don’t need corn, wheat, barley, or rice. But carbs represent the dominant nutrient found in most dry dog foods.
* Why Dog Food Companies Love Carbohydrates…Abundant, Long Shelf Life, Essential to the kibble-making process & Cheaper per calorie than protein or fat). Not one of these reasons has anything to do with nutrition — not one.
* Carbohydrates problem is in their quantity. Dog’s ancestral diet - CountryPet Naturals nutritional philosophy - was around 14% percent of total diet. Today’s dry dog foods contain 46-74 % carbohydrates. CountryPet Naturals is 7% carbohydrate.
