Good afternoon, Quail Hollow! Hope everyone is enjoying this fantastic weather. But, while you are out enjoying it, please be very vigilant/aware of your surroundings. The wildlife is very active in our 'hood, including 2 bears, a bobcat, and a panther, and they are coming out during both the day and night hours. They are losing their habitats at a quick rate due to all the building, and are out and about looking for food. So when you are out walking be on the lookout, particularly if you have your kids or pets with you. Not a bad idea to have some sort of a noisemaker with you.... Do not feed or approach these animals. Please let us know if there are any actual issues with an animal approaching you. Thanks, and stay safe!

Good evening Quail Hollow! Please be aware that there are bears in the neighborhood again.... 2 very large bears, one black, one slightly lighter (FWC says it's a young'un, what they call a cinnamon bear) and they are looking for food. Poor things have no where to go..... : ( Just please pay attention when you are out and about walking, particularly if it's at night or if it's with your kids or your pets. Don't ever approach the bears, or feed them. Stay safe, QH!
Also, as a reminder, all holiday decorations must be removed within 3 weeks after any holiday. Thanks!

Good morning Quail Hollow! Well, the judges had a very hard time picking winners for the holiday decorating contest.... Lots of great, creative decorations throughout the 'hood! Congrats to all the winners, and thanks to all in QH who showed their holiday spirit! Happy Holidays Quail Hollow!

There is a black and white kitten/young cat, with one blue eye, roaming around between the house off Santa Barbara and the first few houses on Hollow Drive. Please contact us and we'll call the homeowner on SB. Otherwise cat will be trapped and taken to DAS.

Good evening Quail Hollow! Hope everyone has been enjoying this cooler weather! Some reminders:
1) Annual meeting is Tuesday, Nov 19th, 7pm, Shepherd of the Glades Church. Please join us for important information for the hood as well as a chance to win your next year's dues!
2) Covenant violations: We've been receiving numerous complaints about a couple of situations in the 'hood, which are now going to get violations if not corrected immediately and permanently:
- BOATS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE KEPT IN DRIVEWAYS
- PARKING OF ALL CARS/TRUCKS IS TO BE ON DRIVEWAY ONLY!! No parking on lawns, no vehicles sticking out past end of driveway into street.
-ROOFS THAT WERE NOT CLEANED AFTER LAST VIOLATION NOTICE WILL BE RECEIVING THEIR SECOND NOTICE. Please be aware that failure to comply after 2nd notice, results in a letter from the lawyer and you will pay all fees.
-DIRTY DRIVEWAYS WILL ALSO RECEIVE VIOLATION NOTICES.

There shouldn't be a need for reminders for the covenants. These are long standing rules not only for our neighborhood but several violations are against county code as well. If you refuse to comply, ("you mean the rules apply to me, too???", Yes, they do....), you WILL receive violation notices and then lawyers letters, so don't be surprised and/or upset.

Please everyone, you live in a Deed Restricted Community, the covenants are in place for a reason, and we all have to abide by them. This helps us not only as community but as individual home owners who care about property value.

Good evening Quail Hollow! Just a reminder, the annual HOA meeting will be Tuesday, Nov 19th, 7pm, Shepherd of the Glades Church. Please join us for a quick presentation from CCSO, neighborhood news, Q and A, and a raffle to win your next year's dues!!!
Also, we have some entrepreneurs in the neighborhood who can help with pressure washing (driveways, walkways, etc) and lawncare for reasonable rates. Avoid a violation notice! SJ's Lawncare and Pressure Washing can be reached by calling or texting 239-572-5489.

Good evening, Quail Hollow! Another storm has come and gone, leaving us without power and internet at times, and definitely with lots of clean up.... Hopefully everyone in the 'hood did OK structurally. We've had some folks volunteer to help out if any of you are unable to deal with yard clean up. Please let us know! Also, there have been some sparking wires on the north side of Hollow Drive. Please report to FPL if you see this happening near you, and obviously don't approach any downed lines. Good evening Quail Hollow! Lots going on in the 'hood. New neighbors will be moving in, Halloween is just over a month away. : ) But, we've also had reports of a couple of not so pleasant sightings.... A neighbor reports seeing someone walking 2 dogs looking in the side/bedroom window well onto another neighbor's property. In addition, as previously mentioned, there was a theft on Vine Lane where a van was broken into and tools stolen. Now 3 teenage boys have been seen roaming the 'hood with flashlights at 11pm and again at 3 am. Reportedly looking in cars and on driveways, but when confronted, said they were looking for Cane toads. They were in a back yard on Vine Lane as well. We truly don't know if these are residents or "outsiders". Regardless, no one has any business looking around with flashlights late at night/early am! It is NEVER OK to go onto someone else's property unless specifically invited, no matter what the excuse!!! If anyone has any knowledge of who the dog walking man was or the teenage boys are, please let us know. We will be investigating further, but please keep your eyes open and let's all watch out for each other.

Reminder Quail Hollow: Bears are out and very active in the neighborhood. They don't seem to be limiting it to garbage days or just at night. Please be aware when out with your kids and pets. Try to avoid "attractants": fresh food in garbage, garbage cans with food drippings, pet food outside. Stay safe QH!

As many of you are aware, violation notices for dirty/moldy roofs have been sent out. We listed a couple of businesses that address that issue in the last newsletter, but please let us know if you need names for companies. Thanks!

Heads up, Quail Hollow. A few nights ago a resident's van was broken into and tools and a small generator were taken. This is very disturbing! We know that there are groups that enter our neighborhood at night and check cars for open doors. They then rifle through and take whatever they want. Please stay vigilant about keeping your vehicle and home doors locked, as well as noting people that don't belong in the neighborhood, particularly at night. If you have any cameras, please check them whenever you get the opportunity. Hopefully these losers can be caught and punished. We had already been in touch with an officer from the CCSO and arranged to have him come to our annual meeting for a short talk, I'm sure he'll have suggestions for us as well. The poor bears are losing more and more of their home, getting desperate. Please be aware of your surroundings when you are outside, especially with kids and pets!

Good evening Quail Hollow! Hurricane season is ramping up.... please make sure that any items outside your home that can become a projectile object are removed, as well as any coconuts or dead palm fronds. As an aside, there are many VERY dirty/moldy roofs in the neighborhood, and as previously mentioned in both newsletters and FB posts, violations will be given for this. Please clean as soon as you can. Let's keep Quail Hollow looking good.

Good Evening Quail Hollow! FYI: there is a momma bear and a cub in the neighborhood. Mamma likely to be very protective, so please do not approach, and make sure that you don't leave any attractants out (pet food, food in garbage cans....). Please also be aware that it's not just at night time that the bears have been seen, so be careful when walking your dogs! Stay safe Quail Hollow!
