Senior Calico Female
Abandoned on a hiking trail in Bonita clinging to life.
Her “owners” were located via her microchipped. Apparently, they “gave her away years ago and do not want her back”.
We have no idea what the truth is. What we do know is, she was adopted from the Miami shelter, she’s 13 and she was abandoned in the middle of no where (without food/ water), left for dead.
The best home for her would be someone loving, patient with extra time to tend to her broke heart.

Kittens and Kitties Available for Adoption 🐾🩷
They’re all strays that have either been dumped or born outdoors.
One senior was even dumped on a hiking trail that was miles away in the woods. A micro chipped was located and the owners did not want her back. We’re not sure who dumped her miles away in the woods, but we’re here to fix the faults of heartless humans.

So, we use our own financial resources and business space to rehab, spay / neuter, vaccinate, microchip and rehome. To provide the best life that every animal deserves!

In studying all of the current data about our doggy illness, it appears to me that when most of us switched to oral Bordetella, we eliminated the protection that the intranasal Bordetella would give with the para influenza component.
There were some statements, but there was a viral influence with a secondary bacteria playing a role. This could very well be the crux of the problem.

It’s time for an update on our 20 dog rescue.
The owner did have a stroke is still in the hospital and will very likely be facing some extended rehabilitation. We wish her the best.

We are looking for Foster homes for these pets.
They are up-to-date on their vaccinations, micro chipped, and are spayed and neutered. Preliminary health assessments are showing they are in good health, and will probably need dental cleaning, They are emotionally needing understanding homes as they are a bit timid in general.
They are Shih Tzus, bichons and Maltese/ bichon.

It’s been a busy Thanksgiving week for all of us at all dog Hair Haven. A
Sweet older lady that had 20 spayed and neutered, small fluffy dogs fell, and had an accident at her home ,she couldn’t move for over two days. Her dogs were with her to keep her company during that time, but thankfully she was found and is now in the hospital.

Her pets are now with us are being groomed and loved Thankfully, they were all spayed and neutered and up-to-date on their vaccinations. Many of them will be available for adoption in the next week or so to loving understanding homes.

We will be glad to work with everyone to make their transition a wonderful one

We give thanks for the kind couple that found her and made sure she is now safe.

This is one of the things that we give Thanks for especially on this day that all of the pets are OK, and soon she will be OK and back at her home.
We feel honored that we are able to groom and take care of these pets until they find a forever home.
We will be having our family Thanksgiving a day late but just as loving and filled with wonderful food.
Thank you to everyone that played a role and helped so much.

Worried about the latest respiratory issue that can affect your dog?

We have been monitoring This respiratory issue which has been circulating for a while in the center of our country. We are now seeing it a bit here. Make sure your pet is up-to-date on vaccines, including Bordetella, and rest assured that all dogs hair haven is now and always has been maintaining strict disinfection policies. Air scrubbers are going 24 seven no dogs are allowed to intermingle that are not from the same family unless they are cleared to go to daycare.
If your pet has an undiagnosed cough, please do not take them to the dog parks, grooming, or to visit with other dogs even if they are just out walking. This is a respiratory illness that is spread by droplets. 
If you are traveling, remember that rest areas can be a source of contamination.
Try not to worry if you follow these measures, your dog should be just fine!
