With rainy season and warmer weather comes the arrival of the invasive cane (or bufo) toads. It’s time to be vigilant and protect our pets from these highly toxic toads. If you suspect your pet has come into contact with a cane toad, you should be proactive and follow the treatments listed in the image below. Call your vet and take them right away. If it is after hours, take them to your nearest emergency clinic and let the staff know you are on your way.

Meet Stitch, a 2-year-old mixed breed with a lot of love to give. Stitch has been living comfortably in his home for the past 5 months, showing great improvement in behavior and enjoying a happy, healthy life. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are now looking for a new home for him.

About Stitch:
• Breed: Mixed breed
• Age: 2 years old
• Size: Medium Weight: 52
• Temperament: Playful and quiet
Training and Behavior: Stitch knows basic commands like sit. He walks well on a leash and is house-trained. Stitch has warmed up to the staff, showing his affectionate side once he feels comfortable.
Special Considerations: Stitch has a bite history. The incident occurred while trying to protect his young college owner from what he perceived as a threat.
Good with Other Pets: Stitch is good with other dogs with a proper introduction. His history with cats is unknown.
Ideal Home: Stitch would thrive in a home with:
• No children
• Experienced dog owners who understand and respect his boundaries
• A calm and structured environment

Adoption Details: Stitch is up-to-date on vaccinations and neutered. We are looking for a dedicated and loving home that can continue providing the care and training he needs.

Are you or anyone you know looking to add a furry friend to your home? We wanted to help Mr. Peabody's foster Mom find him a furever home. (please read her message about Mr. Peabody below and feel free to share to your page). Thank you for your help! 🐾
Mr. Peabody is an awesome boy who takes his job of lazy lap dog very seriously. He is 6-7 years old (best guess), healthy, neutered, and blind. MP wants nothing more than a person to hang out with and is best suited as a homebody with a yard. He is afraid of walks and car rides because he cannot see.
Finding him a new forever home was always the plan. My impending move across the country makes this more important, as that trip driving would scare him greatly.
MP is good with other dogs and would do well with kids. He can get wound up on occasion and show his hound side. Come dinner time he gets vocal but settles as soon as he is fed. He will learn his way around your house and yard and become quite comfortable getting around. He likes to follow your footsteps to see what adventure you are on and loves playing hunt games with his nose and scattered kibble.
He is a medium-sized dog and looks most like a Fox Hound.
