Meet Cronus! He’s a big, playful puppy at heart who loves to have fun with anything you give him. Super smart and highly motivated by treats, Cronus has a sweet and affectionate side that shines once he gets to know you. He’s come such a long way since he first arrived with us. One of his favorite games is fetch with two identical tennis balls—he’ll always pick the odd one as his favorite! Cronus loves learning and enjoys games that challenge his mind, making him very trainable. He’s also working on his social skills and learning to ride well in the car.

Cronus is looking for a loving family that will work with him and give him the space he needs to succeed. He’s eager for his second chance and will make the perfect companion for any German Shepherd lover!

Meet Bo! This sweet senior girl is 8 years old and has been with us for quite some time, often getting overlooked. Bo experiences kennel stress, which causes her to bark when people walk by, but don’t let that fool you. Once she’s out in the yard, she transforms into a completely different dog. Bo absolutely loves people and thrives on attention—the more, the merrier! She’s a fan of belly rubs, butt scratches, playing fetch with tennis balls, and taking a dip in the pool.

Bo is an amazing dog with a heart full of love; she just needs someone who’s willing to be patient and give her the space to show what a wonderful companion she truly is. Meet Shyla! 💗 This sweet girl has been with us for over three years, and while we give her the best care possible, nothing compares to the warmth of a loving home. Shyla would thrive in a peaceful home with responsible adults, where she can be your loyal companion, sticking by your side through thick and thin. Bonus points if you treat her to a puppuccino on your next drive—she LOVES them! And as you can see in this video, she’s all about belly rubs; all she wants is love.

Shyla does have "stranger danger" and needs time to build trust with new people. This process requires patience and effort, but the bond you'll create with Shyla will be incredibly strong and rewarding. Meet Charlie! He was adopted from us as a puppy in 2022, but unfortunately, his owner fell ill and had to return him. Charlie can be cautious around new people, so we recommend giving him time to warm up. He’s an active dog who loves tennis balls and playing in the water! Charlie just needs someone who will respect his boundaries and go at his pace. He would do best in a home with teenage children. Our Behavior Team will provide guidance before adoption to ensure a smooth transition. 🐾

Another Foster Friday! Meet Sandy, she is 7 years old. Sandy is the ultimate love muffin with a dash of s***k! With her shorter little legs, she's got a charmingly jaunty walk that'll make you smile. She might need a little "boost" into the car, but once she's in, she's all about enjoying the ride and watching the world go by. Sandy's energy shines brightest when she's scratching her back in the grass or soaking up the sun while sunbathing. If you're looking for a sweet and spirited companion, Sandy might just be your perfect match!

Sandy is a member of our Senior Dog Care Club. This means you'll receive a $500 credit to use at our clinic for goods and services to help keep her healthy.

Happy Foster Friday! When Magenta first arrived, she was very thin, extremely shy, missing a lot of fur, and fragile. We knew she needed the care of a foster home to heal, and thanks to lots of love, patience, and understanding, Magenta has made an amazing transformation. Her fur has grown back, her personality is shining through, she’s gaining weight, and most importantly, she’s learning what love is. This is why fostering is so vital—it gives dogs like Magenta a safe space to heal and thrive.🤍

Her foster mom shares, "She’s extremely sweet, playful, and loves human affection. She’s a young dog learning to enjoy life for the first time, and you can tell."

Meet Choco!🤍 Choco is our strongest dog on the floor and a true shepherd at heart. At just 1 year and 8 months old, he’s full of life and potential. Sadly, he’s spent most of his life in the shelter, so he’s still learning to relax in new environments. It might take two or three meetings to earn his trust, but once you’re in his circle, you’re in for good! Choco is incredibly intelligent and loves engaging in activities that challenge him both physically and mentally—he’s a quick learner with boundless energy.🐾

Choco needs a very active, dog-savvy family or individual who can provide him with daily exercise, training, and enrichment. He’s highly motivated by treats and already knows many basic obedience commands. He loves playing fetch, running, swimming, and generally gets along well with other high-energy dogs.

Humane Society Naples supports Collier County Domestic Animal Services' proactive measures to safeguard the health and well-being of the cats under their care. Like DAS and most shelters across the nation, HSN also faces capacity concerns this time of year. While HSN has not closed intake, we are currently at capacity for cats affected by or exposed to Feline Panleukopenia (FPV). Our leadership team is actively working with the County and the community to identify other possible solutions.

Community involvement through adoption and fostering can help create space in local shelters, enabling us to offer ongoing assistance to animals requiring help.

Now that the Clear the Shelters cat promotion has ended, we’re shifting our focus to our shelter dogs! Adoption fees are waived for all dogs at Humane Society Naples, excluding puppies. Help us clear the shelter!

To kick off this promotion, meet Autumn! Autumn is one of our senior dogs at 7 years old, but she has a youthful spirit. She’s a playful girl—if there’s a toy bin, you can bet she’s jumping in to pick out her favorite toy! Autumn loves exploring the world and enjoys the company of both humans and dogs. She’s generally very relaxed, though she’s not fond of cats. After going through some tough times, she’s now ready to settle into a loving forever home. Could you be the one to offer her that home? What an amazing Clear the Shelters week we had! As you may know, all of our cat and kitten adoption fees were waived last week, and we're thrilled to share that 49 of our kittens and cats found loving homes in just one week! This includes adult cats who had been with us for a while and even some bonded pairs! A big thank you to everyone who visited our shelter and gave these animals the loving homes they deserve. Last Tuesday, we posted an urgent request for cat food donations for our food pantry, which provides cat and dog food to families struggling to feed their pets. We’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity following our plea, and we can’t thank everyone enough for donating, liking, and sharing our post! We’re so grateful for all the support, and our shelves are now stocked thanks to you! The first picture shows just some of the many Amazon boxes we received (there were even more not shown), and the last slide shows how our shelves looked before your incredible response.

Meet Starla! This sweet 1-year-old girl had a blast on her Rescue Recess trip. Starla is the ultimate cuddle bug and lap dog. She loves running in the grass, playing fetch, and enjoying treats. She’s also well-trained, knowing commands like sit and paw, and she’s fully potty trained. During her time in foster care, she lived with a small dog and rabbits and got along great with them.

Her Rescue Recess friends shared, "We had an amazing day with Ms. Starla during her Rescue Recess! She was wonderful with my 3-year-old, did great in the car, and loved her pup cup and trip to Home Depot since it was too hot for a walk. She’s a natural on the leash and such a happy dog. Starla is going to make a fantastic family dog! We’re happy to take her out anytime until she’s adopted. Just wanted to share some pics from today 😃"

Shy and timid cats deserve loving homes too. Meet Blanket! This special kitty has been with us for over a year, often overlooked for more outgoing cats. But Blanket has so much love to give—she just needs a patient home to help her come out of her shell.

Blanket thrives with other friendly cats, especially when cuddling or playing. She’s skittish around people but will come to you for food and treats once she feels safe. With patience, she might even enjoy gentle chin scratches during feeding.

Blanket needs a home with at least one other cat to help her build confidence. She loves laser pointers, bird-watching, and cozy window spots. If you’re ready to provide a loving home for a shy cat who will reward you with quiet companionship, please consider adopting Blanket.

It’s another Foster Friday! Meet Pickles! This 4-month-old kitten is currently thriving in his foster home, where his foster family can’t say enough good things about him.

They shared, "He's such a sweet boy! He might be a little hesitant at first, but if you take it slow, you'll win his heart and his snuggles! He loves climbing his cat tree, playing with his toys, and zooming around the house. He's great with kids and will happily soak up all the love you can give him."

Happy Foster Friday! Meet Jamie, a sweet and shy 9-year-old cat who recently arrived at HSN after the loss of her owner. Initially, the unfamiliar surroundings were overwhelming for her, but she has since blossomed into a much more content and relaxed kitty in her foster home. Jamie is adaptable and would thrive in any loving home. Though she may be a bit reserved at first, taking the time to let her set the pace is key to building a strong bond. Jamie is still on the lookout for her forever home!

Willa and Lydia are an inseparable duo who have grown up together in the shelter, and they’re ready for their chance at a great home. Though a bit shy when meeting new people, they just need a bit of patience for them to warm up and show their sweet sides. Willa adores head and chin rubs, while Lydia’s mission in life is to chase her favorite wand toy. Together, they bring out the best in each other—Willa’s playful side shines when Lydia’s around, and Lydia’s golden-eyed flops are even sweeter with her best friend nearby.
