April to September-
We had our first trip to Alabama, this stirred some controversy - why pull dogs from out of state when there’s a bunch here? Because there are 200 animals in that shelter, many of which are still there today: 6 months later. In addition to the horrible conditions, there were many dogs not typically found up north. Small fluffy dogs overlooked.
Not only that, but our trip to Alabama brought us the most repeat fosters - Heather, Celene, Theresa to name a few that are still fostering for us.
Our donations outgrew the garage and we moved to a storage unit.
In May we got a vet partnership rather than going as a public individual
Throughout these months, we began many partnerships - shelters, fosters, vets, transporters, networkers, other rescues. Some amazing, since questionable - but we learned from our experiences.
Throughout the summer, we had slow adoptions. A few would trickle here and there, but nothing like January to March. But we focused on the dogs we had and continued pushing.
Into the fall, August we had our first group of Amish dogs. The Aussies brought us tons of attention, and I couldn’t thank everyone enough for stepping up for these dogs.
We also began our push into Michigan knowing our name, New Boston Nutrition invited us for an event which opened many doors into Charlie’s Apple Orchid as well.
We had our first deaf dog, Phasma.
We had our litter of bottle heelers.
Kittens left in the petco cart
VWCHS was going to face their first space euthanasia in 10 years, and we were able to place Chief
We began to become more known, less people skeptical of us. But, our focus continues to be finding homes.
And incoming a third post for August to November!
