I truthfully don't understand how life can be so unbearably cruel. I took Lop to the vet end of February for a pretty serious eye injury from a female during pairing (one reason the line is being kept back), had him treated and rechecked early March and he was cleared as healthy [pic below at the vet], and today I find him passed away when he was fine Monday night.

I just don't have the heart for this some days. I hope I'm able to salvage the line and not lose my hairless, but regardless, I'm heartbroken tonight. 😞

Sometimes breeding rats has bad days. 😞

I found my old girl Chamomile had passed away today. Even worse though, it looks like Kennedy passed mid-labor with a stuck pup as the cause. It was hard to tell but she was gone by the time I got there. I've had this happen before with no surviving pups, but thankfully a few of hers survived and have been fostered to other moms. There's a reason breeding isn't for the faint of heart. RIP Chamomile and Kennedy. 😞💔

There are still quite a few available older rats (mostly girls!) posted. As for the litters, a few of the moms have had pups so far: Pan, Coolidge, and Beveren (though her litter will not be available). More moms should 💥pop💥 soon and more updates to come.

UPDATE: I'm having some clear temperament issues with the females of this line that seem to be getting worse. I've decided to postpone offering any of these litters to the public but will be keeping back the babies to work on temperament. Hopefully by next litter cycle or the fall, this line will be ready for pet homes. I won't ever rehome rats I'm concerned are unstable.

All other lines are absolutely fine and I've seen no issues with them. Thanks!

As the current litter pairings have been posted and updated information has been added, I have revised the adoption form. If you are interested in potentially adopting an older male or female rat(s), or wish to be notified about the upcoming litters that will be available in May, please complete this form.

This does NOT guarantee any rat as available for adoption or on hold to you. It simply expresses interest and gives me a means of contacting you if I have available what you are looking for.

Once applications are approved, I will contact you once litters are born for your deposit, and then when babies are listed, anyone with an approved application may reach out to adopt. This will be first come, first serve.

Messaging those of you who have been in my inbox waiting on replies. I currently only have 6m+ rats available (older breeders, babies who never got adopted, or just random stragglers). The advantage is all these rats I know their personalities much more securely than young babies and they've been used to handling and all that. But I really need to make some room here and a lot of these guys and gals would benefit from more individualized attention.

I am pairing currently for next litter cycle. I will likely only be able to do a spring, summer, and fall cycle with being a working, busy mom. So if you're interested in babies, this next round should be available mid-May. This will be my spring litter cycle.

Hello Fanatic followers!

It's been a long time with no update. My life has had a lot of major updates lately, including the upcoming arrival of my first child this December (a baby boy 💙 we are so excited!) And with that, the difficult decision to close to the public for the most part. The past few years have been extremely trying for me as a breeder and it's time for a change for me...

I put the page on deactivated mode a while back but was unaware messages could still be sent so I apologize to those who have received no response.

For the foreseeable future, I am only breeding for other breeders and to further my own lines. I will however (and do right now) have some extra available babies that will be looking for homes. The adoption process will be different with a new application form and babies all going home for 💲1️⃣5️⃣ each, no matter what. There will be no holds ahead of time and payment is expected as soon as you wish to adopt. As soon as babies are posted, they're available to pay for and pick up whenever we can schedule a meet.

I have lots of boys right now and a handful of girls I'll be posting later this week. The next time rats will likely be posted is Jan-Feb, so if you'd like some Fanatic rats, this is your last chance for the timebeing. Thanks for your time and understanding.

Cappuccino had these 4 little cuties, Blot and Banana Bread were laboring when I checked, and Pi, Epsilon, Winter, Tortilla, and Manatee should have babies any second now, along with many other mommas!

So glad to have beans again since the last 4-5 months have been a dry spell for me. Look forward to lots of cute baby posts!!! 🥰❤

I have never been more excited about a round of pairings than these guys and gals! I have so many of my favorite types, including Havana, oddeye, tonkinese, and so much more! Many of these litters will need to stay for 12 weeks (due to oddeye and a risk for megacolon) so look out for babies from this group ready for homes in early April! 😁
