Hello my name Kaicee Bunch, married to Tanner Bunch, and we have two pups of our own Dakota & Indy. Expecting a little one in March. I have been grooming since 2020, so nearly four years now! I’d say I specialize in doodle haircuts, but also work with all breeds, and am very familiar with breed standard cuts. I have grown up in the nappanee & wakarusa area my whole life and love the town, people & their pups! And I’m super excited to start with you in January!

Some of these sweet pups have been with me since I opened!
Loyal, genuine, amazing people I have met on my dog grooming journey! When I opened my doors I had very little clue what I was doing and I was very honest from the get go! I saw a need and at that point in my life it fit exactly what we needed…a job I could be with my kids when they were sick or needed me.
Also my dad had just retired and wanted to walk dogs! So the Soapy Dog was born into a town that at the time was in desperate need! I had been doing human hair for almost 20 yrs and knew what I knew from and thought I can learn the rest!

Along came Hailey and she was a gift from God she taught me so much and has been everything from full time to as needed and man have there been times I have needed her!! Through this we developed more than a friendship we became family!

I knew when I opened the doors that it was to get up and running and find the most perfect human to take over for me!!

I also prayed that when it was meant to happen it would and it would be flawless! Easy if you will!

I felt as if I could do it for 5 or so years or could hand it over to someone that I knew would be perfect when they came along!

As I am nearing the end of Fire Academy Feb 13th! I have recently been brought on to Nappanee Fire and EMS as an EMT/Firefighter!
This has truly been a lifelong goal to be in Emergency Medicine( it’s a whole new story as to why it took me so long to get here😉)

So as of January 1st I will be handing my baby The Soapy Dog to Kaicee Bunch and it will become KCs Grooming Salon!!

It will remain at 252 South Madison Street for the foreseeable future! Don’t worry you will know where to find us!!

With all this said I am so excited to continue grooming through May… as Kacee is expecting her first baby in March!!!
She will enjoy time off with her sweet baby and return to her salon the beginning of June!

I pray all of my amazing clients/friends will have patience as we make this change we are trying to make it as smooth as possible!

You are all going to be so happy and I know I am leaving your pups in great hands!

My amazing father will be sticking around… he has found it has proved to be a pretty great retirement gig! I could not have done any of this without his day to day help with absolutely EVERYTHING!

To all the family and friends that worked with me or helped out along the way you appreciated more than you know!! ♥️

I will be posting a Welcome post after this so you can get to meet Kacee and as soon as of Jan 1 you will get to meet her in person!! We are so excited for this new adventure!
