We have several clients that ask how often their pets should come in for a Dental Prophy. Each pet is different, some need a cleaning every 6 months to a year - some can go longer between cleanings. The scientific answer is when they are dirty.
This before picture is the perfect example of when to come in for a cleaning. Only minor calculus build up, teeth are still tight and gums are not inflamed.
Once the teeth are completely clean - daily brushing, chews, dental gels and at home care helps to keep the calculus from building up as quickly. 🦷🐶
