Holiday Present | A Season Set to Last โœจ | 2025

Our 10th holiday season at the Parlour felt steady, intentional, and beautifully aligned. With a strong team, familiar faces on the schedule, and room to welcome new ones, this season truly felt set up for success. Starting portraits early and settling into our rhythm made each day run smoothly and joyfully. ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿค

This yearโ€™s portraits featured Ellie the bernedoodle, Gracie the shih tzu, Keeva the soft-coated wheaten terrier, Eddie and Lulu the cocker spaniels, Orla the goldendoodle, Bucky our one-eyed wonder shih tzuโ€“poodle mix, Ollie the labradoodle, Susie the shih tzu, and Miles the corgi โ€” a reminder of why these traditions matter. โœจ๐Ÿพ

This season was made possible by Lauren, Carolyn, and Lori working together with care, Tony always part of the fun, and Andrea keeping everything settled and flowing, alongside our incredible clients whose trust and timeliness help ensure every pet is classically cared for. ๐Ÿค

As we close out this year and this decade of holiday traditions, we do so with deep gratitude and quiet excitement for whatโ€™s ahead โ€” proud of ten Christmases and looking forward to many more. โ„๏ธโœจ

Holiday Past | New Beginnings โœจ | 2024

The 2024 holiday season was shaped by change โ€” the kind that arrives quietly, making space for what comes next. As paths shifted and lives moved forward, the Parlour welcomed new beginnings and fresh energy, reminding us that growth often comes through togetherness. โ„๏ธ๐Ÿค

That spirit carried through everything this season held. New team members jumped right in, traditions continued, and many of this yearโ€™s portraits captured pets side by side: Eli the doodle with Izadora the corgi, Mac and Chevy the golden brothers, Stevie the shih tzu with her uncle Tunechi the Japanese Chin mix, the bichonโ€“poodle brothers Archer, Fletcher, and Kalua, Hash the shih tzuโ€“poodle mix, Molly the doodle, Heisman the cavalier, and Nash the yorkie โ€” each pictured with their trusty snowman friend. ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿพ

Our Christmas card was extra special this year, illustrated by Cathy Mingus and paired with custom pet portraits commissioned for each team member. It was a season defined by shared moments, new beginnings, and the joy of building what comes next โ€” together. โœจ๐ŸŽ

Holiday Past | A Circle of Care โœจ | 2023

So often, we speak about being part of our petsโ€™ and clientsโ€™ circle of care โ€” and in 2023, we were reminded that we have one of our own. We were grateful to welcome Ty back for a few days during the holiday season, bringing familiar hands, joyful energy, and a Christmas spirit that felt right at home. ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿค

That care showed up in many forms โ€” former team members stepping in when needed, clients sharing homemade treats and snacks, and thoughtful retail pieces created by members of our own community. Together, those moments shaped a season rooted in connection and mutual support. โœจ๐Ÿพ

This yearโ€™s holiday portraits featured Yogi the shih tzu mix, Henry the schnauzer, Tiny the yorkie mix, Luke the golden, Sally the corgi, Bodhi the golden, Otto the giant schnoodle, Jax the coton, and Luke the golden โ€” a beautiful reminder that the traditions we love are strengthened by the people (and pets) who show up year after year. ๐Ÿค๐ŸŽ

Holiday Past | Worth the Wait โœจ | 2022

Some portraits come together in a single moment, and others take a little patience โ€” and sometimes thirty outtakes quietly living on our phones. Some of the in-between moments end up just as charming, like Walt the doodleโ€™s perfectly imperfect outtakes ๐Ÿ“ธโœจ

This was also the year of our Christmas card adventure, when Tony and Maverick hopped in for a photo shoot with a little red truck and a Christmas tree โ€” a reminder that holiday traditions sometimes take us just beyond the shop walls. ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿš—

Alongside Walt this season featured Lani the doodle, Sophia the Lhasa mix, Cyrus the cockapoo, Rufus the shih tzu, Ellie the pomeranian, Baxter the doodle, and the full Denno dogs crew โ€” a family portrait that took more tries than weโ€™d like to admit, but proved once again that the right shot is priceless. ๐Ÿพโœจ

Oh wow! Did this month get away from us ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ
The holidays moved quickly in the shop, and our focus stayed right where it belongs, on the pets in our care. ๐Ÿ’› Weโ€™re excited to return to this series though, sharing these memories as we step into the new year! โ„๏ธ๐Ÿค

Holiday Past | Finding the Moment โœจ | 2021

The 2021 holiday season moved quickly, with full days and even fuller weeks, as a busy team of five focused on caring for pets and keeping the season running smoothly. Sometimes the remembering had to wait while the work continued, but the heart of the holidays was still there in every detail. ๐Ÿพโœจ

The portraits from this year remind us how much expression matters. Rusty the doodle gave us two very different moments: one relaxed and droopy, the other bright-eyed with ears up and full of excitement! A perfect example of how the right sound, or a well timed crack snack can suddenly let their personality shine through like a puppy again ๐Ÿค—๐ŸŽ„

Alongside Rusty, this season featured the ever-picture-perfect Macie the cockapoo, Theo the schnoodle, Teddy the doodle, Bella the chihuahua, and Mr. Big the Yorkie โ€” each one captured just as themselves, even in the busiest of years. ๐Ÿค

Holiday Past | Holding the Tradition โœจ | 2020

The 2020 holiday season asked for steadiness, care, and a deep sense of togetherness. In a year shaped by change, these portraits became a quiet reminder that we are still here as we always have been. โ„๏ธ๐ŸŽ„

Alongside the portraits, this season is remembered for the teamwork it took to keep traditions alive. The joy of the season is not just about the pets in front of the camera, but the people behind it, working together adapting and showing up for one another...in matching outfits of course! ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿพ

2020's portraits feature Jack the poodle, Bella the chihuahua, Dexter the basset hound, Mr. Big the Yorkie, Dusty the maltipoo, Brady with his new baby brother Gronk, Abby the doodle, Teddy the poochon, and Tony got in on the fun with Carly the chihuahua mix โœจ

Holiday Past | A Season in Full Swing โœจ | 2019

2019 arrived big and bustling, and the holiday season followed suit. With a growing team, shop dogs underfoot, and extra hands behind the scenes keeping everything moving, the Parlour was full of energy, laughter, and holiday cheer. ๐ŸŽ„โœจ

This was our first year of a professional holiday photo shoot for Christmas cards and our first year fully immersed in all of our traditions! Portraits in full swing, toys and treats from Tony, hairball ornaments as always, and returning to our holiday portraits, even for our cat grooming clients, including Cleo. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ“ธ

Featured this season here we have Roxy the Rottweiler mix, Matilda and Montana the little terrier mixes, Calvin the Maltese mix, Spencer the Aussie mix, Dozer the English Springer Spaniel, our snow-faced Molly the golden, Trevi and Baxter our poodle boys, and Bootsie the miniature poodle, dapper as ever in his bow tie.

It was a season that felt full in every sense โ€” busy, joyful, and rooted in traditions that had truly come into their own. ๐ŸŽโ„๏ธ

Holiday Past | Growing Traditions โœจ | 2018

Some holiday seasons bring firsts, a first visit with us, a puppyโ€™s first winter with their new family, or the beginning of a tradition that quietly grows year after year. These portraits captured everything from joyful silliness to calm, picture-perfect moments, each one reflecting the dog exactly as they are๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ“ธ

2018's portraits included Kyrie the lab with his brand new puppy sister Klairisse, Bear the Yorkie, Harley the Maltese, Molly the golden, Gracie the bichon, a very goofy Tuukka the golden, Theo the schnoodle, a young Brady the bulldog, and the ever-photogenic Macie the cockapoo. Over time, these photos have become more than holiday keepsakes, theyโ€™re framed on shelves, tucked into albums, and returned to each year as a way to remember the love, personality, and life shared โœจ๐ŸŽ

Holiday Past | The First Portraits โœจ | 2017

In 2017, our holiday portrait tradition began, capturing a young Tucker the puggle, Trevi and Baxter the poodles, Stella and Louie the boxers, Daisy and Papi the pugs, Zoey the keeshond, Macie the cockapoo in her basket ๐ŸŽ Maisie the Tibetan terrier, and her sibling Liikka, a lounging Finnish spitz. ๐Ÿพ

Some pets settled right in, clearly enjoying their moment, and a tradition was born! Others were not as photogenic and may have taken a few shots to get one just right ๐Ÿ“ธ as you see with Max the Samoyed at the end - his smile was just too sweet not to share! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ˜Š

One many would come to remember and look forward to each year. As time has passed and some of these beloved pets are no longer with us, we know their families treasure these portraits just as deeply as we do when we look back at them. โœจ๐ŸŽ„

๐ŸŽ๐Ÿพ 2016 - Our First Christmas ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽ

After only opening in three months prior, our first holiday season at the Parlour was marked by twinkling lights, simple decorations, and the quiet joy of creating a festive space where pets and their people felt welcomed and cared for. ๐ŸŽ„

Decorating the shop became part of the season itself, a way to carry holiday cheer through long days of grooming and into every corner of the room. ๐ŸŽ…๐ŸŒŸ

That year, we shared hairball ornaments, a cherished tradition dating back to 2012, offering families a small keepsake so a piece of their pet could always have a place on the tree. ๐Ÿถโœจ
