I can't believe how much Ted is adjusting to this home. He is also becoming calmer. All three dogs like to play rough, but Ted is sometimes too much for the others and they retreat to their crates or Amy will hang out n the living room. They will play rough with him, but when they are finished, he's still wound up. Today, so far, that is not the case.

Ted Week 2: Ted continues to thrive. His skin issues have cleared up completely. Last Sunday we went to the parthenon for photos. People posed with him and his sign to share with their social to help promote him. Today we will try a different location. He knows come and we have also gone over the basics of stay. Ted is good with laying down and sleeping with us when the lights are off, but it takes longer for him to lay down and sleep when lights are on. He is a very happy little fella. He likes to be mouthy when he plays, but he's gotten better with not doing it to me and he is getting better with not going overboard with the girls. He is always happy to meet people and dogs. You will love Ted.

I began fostering this guy on 10/24/2022. He had been at the shelter for over 2 months. Is less than 1.5 yrs and is still very much a puppy. He is around 45lbs. He was/is happy to be out of there and into a home, temporary as it may be. The following describes our first week together.

Ted walks like a dream on the leash when it is just he and I. He is more hyper and playful when my own dogs are with us also. He t's along very well with my dogs and dogs he has met in passing. He did very well with other dogs in playgroup at the shelter. He is also very good on car rides.

First two days had a problem with pottying in the house, but it didn't take long to get him into a routine and since day three, he has always done his business outside.

In Nashville Pet Products he came across a cat. He was interested and sniffed it, but showed no negative reaction.

He has a few issues that we are working on. 1) he is a bit mouthy, but will stop if you give him a firm "no". He will start agin, but if you are consisten, e will stop and relax. He has some separation and FOMO issues where if he,s crated and I go into another room, even if he can see me and barks loudly. If he is with my others on the patio and I walk away from the patio door, he jumps and barks to get back in. He mostly chews things that are ok to choose,, but if he chews on anything else, a verbal correction is enough.
He is not possessive of anything so far.

He now spends most of hi time uncrated and the tree of them sleep in a semi circle around me at night. He can do this because he has become calm enough to lay down and sleep. Sometimes, he will still lick you face while you're trying to sleep, but not like he used to.
