Nashville Cat Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing cats and kittens from off the streets and from high-kill shelters and placing them into loving, permanent homes. All cats and kittens that come through our program receive superb veterinary care before they are adopted out to the public. Each Nashville Cat Rescue cat or kitten at MINIMUM is tested for FIV/FeLV, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, given flea preventative, and vaccinations appropriate for their age.

Bobby B is a 10 year old senior cat. He was found starving and homeless. He has been gaining weight and has been checked out medically. He is neutered, vaccinated and negative for FIV/FeLV. Bobby is good with other cats and a very Lovie boy. He is also declawed on his front paws. Bobby is currently at Cool springs PetSmart hoping for a loving home.

Crepe Myrtle came into rescue with her 3 small kittens. She is now ready to find her forever family. Crepe Myrtle is about a year old, she has medium hair and is a very small cat. This sweet girl is 8 years old. She has had a rough life and is currently enjoying being an inside kitty. Olympia is a very sweet and social girl. She is waiting for her family to come and get her from Pet Smart on Moore’s Lane Brentwood. Olympia is spayed, UtD on vaccinations and negative for FIV/FeLV.

This is Mister Hinkle. He is an Orange and white tabby that was found in North Nashville. He’s approximately 6-8 months old. He likes having a place to hide and ideally a cat friend to cuddle with. Sonny is an absolute gentleman. He gets along well with every creative. He is curious and calm and loving. Sonny had an infected toe that had to be amputated but he is ready to be adopted. Queso is a sweet, cuddly, energetic kitten. She’s still very skittish, but once she warms up to you she loves to sleep with you and will follow you around the house. She’s very playful and likes looking out the window. Queso would do best in a house with no other pets or children as she is very easily frightened of loud noises and sudden movements.

Nico was found outside as a 2-month old kitten with a significant tail injury that necessitated a tail amputation. It hasn’t slowed him down in the slightest and now he is a happy, playful 4.5 month old guy who wags his tail stump like a dog! It’s the cutest thing. He’s neutered, got a clean bill of health, and is up to date on all of his vaccinations. He was scared and shy at first, understandable after a scary start in life, but it didn’t take him long at all to warm up to his finders or his current fosters. He’s a rambunctious boy but loves his cuddles when he settles into them. 🙂 He's enjoying his sunny foster suite in East Nashville but is ready to meet his forever people and find a home of his very own. King is sweet, handsome, and incredibly mellow. He loves to meet new people and new cats.
We think he’s had a doggy friend before since he goes up to the glass at the adoption center when a dog is near.
We don’t know much about his past as he was discovered as part of a “community cat” colony. He stood out as a very special guy who would thrive in a home environment so NCR was contacted to help him find his new family.
King can be visited at the One Hundred Oaks PetSmart.

Chelsea is 1.5 years old and just a little Lovie. She has a little bobtail and a cuddly personality. Chelsea is spayed, UTD on vaccinations and negative for FIV/FeLV. She does well with other kitties even though she’s a little shy at first. Chelsea was found wounded and wondering the streets. She is all healed up and ready to find a family that will keep her safe inside the rest of her life. She is currently in her foster home. Five-month-old Fry and Spud are brothers and best friends. These cuties are neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, FIV and FeLV negative, and microchipped.

Fry is a charming orange tabby who’s as friendly as he is adorable! He is a little lovebug who will purr the moment you talk to him or even glance his way. He’s big on nuzzles, head butts, and will eagerly try to climb into your arms for some cozy snuggle time. Fry came into foster care as a shy kitten, but he’s blossomed into a friendly, affectionate, and happy boy who loves being around people and cats.

One of Fry’s quirks is his love of water; you can find him sitting in the sink underneath a running faucet. He doesn’t mind getting wet at all and will gladly accept a towel dry when he’s done playing. His future furrever family will need a sense of humor and an openness to safely indulge his curiosity for water.

Spud is a cutie like Fry. He looks a bit ombre with his orange face that fades to a white tail. He has the cutest pink nose and matching pink toe beans. Although he is quiet, Spud loves affection and will happily walk up for lots of pets and nuzzles. He will even make biscuits with his paws when he’s extra excited about pets! Speaking of biscuits, Spud is an expert baker, kneading blankets, the air, or the floor. He would love it if his furrever family had lots of soft blankets for him to knead.

Spud loves to play! Wand toys (or anything that dangles) are his absolute favorite. However, his brothers tend to take his toys because Spud is the best at sharing. He’d love to have his own wand toys in the future.

This delightful duo will do amazing together in a forever home.

Bella and Zoe are the sweetest pair of sisters and would be the perfect addition to any home! Bella is adventurous, loves to play with her kitten toys and sister, and curl up for a nap on the couch her people. Zoe is a little more shy but once she warms up, she loves to snuggle, get chin scratches, and play with her sister! Zoe and Bella also love other cats and dogs. Both are litter box trained, completely healthy, and ready for their new home!

Personality: Tig is a playful, cuddly and confident little lady. Her eye markings give her a very serious look, but don’t let that fool you because she is always down to play with toys, other kitties and occasionally human toes. She is a quiet girl who’s excellent on car rides (even long ones!), and has even had a few fun stroller rides. She’s great with kids and other cats, and can often be found following the foster’s adult cats around to chase their tails, wrestle, or get a grooming.

This STUNNING buff colored boy just showed up on his finder’s porch in Dickson one day last month. She figures he must have been dumped because he's just as friendly as can be and she’s way out in the country (she did look for an owner but nobody claimed him). She named him Jupiter and fell quickly in love with his sweet, playful demeanor. She already had her hands full with her own menagerie of animals, but contacted NCR to make sure he’d find his way to the safe, happy, indoor forever home he deserves. He’s about 8 months old, neutered, healthy, and up to date on all his vaccines. He has been enjoying his foster humans but is ready to meet his permanent ones. He’s still pretty (adorably) rambunctious but does settle down and will no doubt settle further once he gets where he’s going and can unpack for good. Meet Izzy! She’s an independent girl who loves to play, explore, and have a ton of fun. However, she’s also the world’s best cuddler and is happy sitting on the couch with her people. Like her brother, Franklin, Izzy loves all types of animals, especially cats and dogs. She is completely healthy and does not have any health risks/issues. She gives the best kitten kisses and would be a great addition to any family!

Tater loves to be scooped up by his foster mom, purring loudly in her arms—though the snuggles don’t last long because he’s always off on his next adventure, whether it’s checking on his brothers or zooming around the house at top speed. This chatty boy loves to tell you what’s on his mind and will always keep you entertained with his stories and silly antics.

Despite his wild kitten energy, Tater has a huge heart. He’s incredibly empathetic, grooming his brothers and checking in when they’re stressed or tired. He’s even friendly with the grumpy resident cat in his foster home! Tater is a social, loving kitten and must be adopted with his brother, Spud, who is a bit shy but blossoms into a sweet guy when Tater Babyman is around.

Despite his shyness, Spud, the peach-colored kitten, is a darling boy with lots of love to share. When he knows someone, he will quietly purr, climb in their lap, and make biscuits. He makes biscuits on all surfaces—in the air, on blankets, or right on you. While he doesn’t meow much, when he does, his soft and gentle voice will melt your heart.

Scarlett and Ivy

Scarlett- sweet, lovable friend Hi! I’m Scarlett. Don’t you think I’m pretty? Did you notice the freckle on my chin? How about my beautiful coat? I’m a mix between a tabby and a torti. Some of my favorite things are being brushed, laying in the sun and playing with my interactive worm toy. I love napping in my snuggly bed, as well as, hanging out on my cat tree. I’m smart. I like to solve treat puzzles! I’m happiest in a quiet home. I’m bonded with Ivy. I would be so sad without her. Sometimes, she’s grumpy, but I still love her!! We must be adopted together. I was rescued from a life on the streets. Let me tell you, it was tough out there!! I love being in my foster home. It’s warm and there’s plenty of food. My foster mom helped me learn people don’t have to be scary. Turns out, once I learn they are safe, I like people. I even lean in with head rubs and purrs! Could you love Ivy and I and make us part of your family? Scarlett is negative for FIV/FeLV, spayed and current on all vaccinations. Ivy- independent, beautiful friend Hi, I’m Ivy. Hi my name is Catbert and I’m addicted to love. I’m basically a giant teddy bear who wants cuddles all the time. So I love when nice people visit me at the adoption center. I sometimes fall out of bed because the head rubs feel so good! 🙈 Other cool things about me: I have a stubby tail, a sleek soft coat, I enjoy playtime with wand toys, and I’m sweet with other kitties who are nice to me. I came from a hoarding situation where I was surprisingly well taken care of. The people started out by trying to help a few kitties, but soon the “few” turned into a lot, and the people realized they needed help. I know they loved me and am grateful they had the strength to say goodbye so I can find a forever home. Panleukopenia. A word that sends shivers down the spines of rescuers and animal care professionals. A disease with no cure, an infected cat’s only chance of survival is expensive, intensive supportive care. Nell was able to receive this lifesaving care, including 4 days of hospitalization, thanks to our generous donors. And she managed to pull through, surprising everyone, including our amazing veterinary partners at WesVet Animal Hospital and her foster mom who was quick to recognize a serious problem and get her emergency care.
