Damnit I knew something was wrong with this clutch. 16 eggs 1 slug. 2 days in the incubator and I noticed the majority were getting dimples and had a teal tint to the eggs. Today is day 5 and they looked worse. Separated the good eggs from what i assume are rotting eggs.. 3 eggs are definitely viable potentially a 4th. This breeding has the possibility of producing Snows so I was really hopeful when i saw 16 eggs and one slug that momma had kicked out of the clutch. Maybe we will beat the odds with 3-4 eggs. Total bummer tho. I assume the embryos were not viable from the get go or the eggs started to die shortly after being laid. Going to candle them again tonight and see how many eggs are getting tossed. Still hopeful for another clutch or two but it's getting pretty late in the season.

This is heartbreaking. I hate cancer so much. We love you Brian. You changed our life's. I know you changed mine. "Legacy Retics" wouldn't be a thing if it weren't for your inspiration. Enjoy your time with Jesus. It's not goodbye it's I'll see you later. You will always be remembered and I'll see you when I get up there. You and your family on in my prayers. I pray that God will shine his light on you and your family. You will always be remembered. You will always be right up there with Steve Irwin. Your work won't go to vain. We love you and hope you find your peace in the most beautiful place God created for us.

Finally... we are 99% sure our 25% Kalaotoa/25% Kayuadi/ 12.5% Jamp Purple is full of eggs. Time to pull the male and hopefully have a clutch soon. Just as I was starting to have doubts about this season!

Our Mangrove Monitor is getting a little upgrade to her current enclosure over the next week or so. Just have to get one of the visions set up as a temporary enclosure and then it's all gas no brake!

Today is a somber day for America. We will never forget those who lost their life to such a tragic and terrible event. God rest the souls that were lost on this day 22 years ago. I will always remember it like it was yesterday. We will NEVER forget!

Long hours.
Late nights.
If that's what it takes, that's what we do!
I'm almost to the point where I'm ready to show everything off.
We still have to move some stuff around, we need to buy a few more husky racks for the smaller visions to get some of the grow outs out of the 80 series racks.
But it's 90% there and it's awesome to finally see things come together.
I need like a pallet of coco chips but hey one day at a time.

One of our males has a swollen mouth from pushing. So I checked his gum line last night with a cuetip and iodine to insure it doesn't get infected and of course was able to push the broken tooth out of his gum line. It's absolutely insane how much swelling a little tooth cab cause. If your planning on getting into owning multiple retics be sure your prepared to work with the business end of a large constrictor. Minor things like this are easily cared for at home if you are confident enough and have the proper guidance. Vet bills add up quickly for simple things like this. Find a good mentor who can assist you in situations like this. Luckily I've surrounded myself with great people and have gained the knowledge to care for minor injuries and health issues.

Indo Caramel Pairing seems to be going well. Plenty of typical breeding body language. Extremely happy with the first 5 pairings of the season so far.
