Damnit I knew something was wrong with this clutch. 16 eggs 1 slug. 2 days in the incubator and I noticed the majority were getting dimples and had a teal tint to the eggs. Today is day 5 and they looked worse. Separated the good eggs from what i assume are rotting eggs.. 3 eggs are definitely viable potentially a 4th. This breeding has the possibility of producing Snows so I was really hopeful when i saw 16 eggs and one slug that momma had kicked out of the clutch. Maybe we will beat the odds with 3-4 eggs. Total bummer tho. I assume the embryos were not viable from the get go or the eggs started to die shortly after being laid. Going to candle them again tonight and see how many eggs are getting tossed. Still hopeful for another clutch or two but it's getting pretty late in the season.

This is heartbreaking. I hate cancer so much. We love you Brian. You changed our life's. I know you changed mine. "Legacy Retics" wouldn't be a thing if it weren't for your inspiration. Enjoy your time with Jesus. It's not goodbye it's I'll see you later. You will always be remembered and I'll see you when I get up there. You and your family on in my prayers. I pray that God will shine his light on you and your family. You will always be remembered. You will always be right up there with Steve Irwin. Your work won't go to vain. We love you and hope you find your peace in the most beautiful place God created for us.

Finally... we are 99% sure our 25% Kalaotoa/25% Kayuadi/ 12.5% Jamp Purple is full of eggs. Time to pull the male and hopefully have a clutch soon. Just as I was starting to have doubts about this season!
