Thousands of animals go missing every year during the Fourth of July. Whether spooked by fireworks or accidently let out, dogs and cats flood the shelters; many of which never make it home.
Make sure your pet is microchipped and if you aren't sure bring them to the event so we can check! We will chip your pets and help you register your information online.
We will also feature adoptable dogs from SOARescue. As always puppy cuddles are free!

Say a prayer or send good vibes!! We are currently at BluePearl Veterinary Partners - Franklin with sweet Addie. She had 4 babies pretty quick, but the last 2 struggled and were significantly larger. Addie started to decline so our amazing team rushed her to the emergency vet.
It was pretty unexpected that she would have the babies this quick but are so thankful for her incredible foster so that she didn’t have the babies in the shelter!

🌈We wanted to give a special THANK YOU to one of our amazing partners @movementloungebyym by Movement Lounge, By Yoga Muttz!! They have been an incredible partner for SOAR. Since February 20th 2020, they have single handedly helped 6 of our dogs get adopted!!! 😍Alex has also brought in dogs of all ages & sizes to her studio for socialization & promotion. We cannot say enough good things about Alex & her Team! If you haven’t checked out her studio or one of her classes around town…do it! You will thank us later…. Gorgeous Reba girl is adopted! 😍😍Her new Dad says she has settled in very well in her new home. Reba has been enjoying her snuffle mat & kong. She has been to visit her "grandparents" & goes out for nice long walks. She adores being pet, & will show Dad her tummy for more pets lol.
We think this time Reba has found her forever in her new Dad. And how precious is it her Dad plays cow sounds for her since she has a fascination with cows haha. 😂🐮
Friends and followers, we have a not so happy update for you...🙏🐶❤️🙏
Our sweet panda puppy, Notorious B.I.G., passed away in his sleep on Sunday morning. We had hoped to be able to tell you why; but it's still unknown what was going on with him. He handled surgery like a champ and was alert and in good spirits during recovery. And while the surgery didn't provide the answers, we were ready to keep looking for the cause of his illness; but unfortunately, we ran out of time.
After days of grieving and talking with our veterinarian professionals, it is concluded that there was likely a congenital birth defect. All we know for sure is that we did everything we could to help him and in the end, he was not in pain or suffering. He was loved. We are incredibly thankful for the staff
City Pets Animal Care for taking such good care of him...and his fosters who moved mountains to handle everything while our director was home with a house full of covid.
We also want to end on a positive note. Biggie was already home. His fosters were so over the moon for him; that even in his passing, they are adopting him. What does this mean? This means, sweet “Notorious B.I.G.", "Biggie," or "Panda" found his forever home. He got to experience endless love, a warm bed, snuggles and a mom and dad! Even though his life was short; he most definitely got to SOAR!
