A quick Independence Day 🇺🇸 reminder for the family of our furry friends:

The weekend of July 4th is THE largest increase in lost pets of the entire year. The weekend after the holiday animal shelters can see upward of a 30% increase!

The good news is you can help keep your animal(s) safe by doing simple things (if you can) such as: keeping them inside, comfort them or allow them their safe space (crates, etc), help mask the noise by keeping windows closed and the TV on something soothing, and just act normal if you're staying home!

We hope both you, and your furry family members, have a safe and happy holiday!

Dangerous Heat Warning for today: Sunday, July 25th.
If you have an outdoor pup; ensure they have plenty of water and shade to ensure they stay hydrated and as cool as possible!

Also keep in mind: when walking your furry friend -- pavement, both roads and sidewalks heat up to 40 degrees warmer than air temperature and can cause burns to their paws. If possible, attempt to keep them on grassy areas!

We have advised our staff not to come to work tomorrow, Monday, February 15th, if the weather gets worse. We will try to be open, but not at the expense of our employees' safety.

And as a friendly reminder to all our customers and friends, it is important to detach your garden hoses, or you run the risk of your pipes freezing and bursting.

It is also a good idea to let at least one faucet drip.
