Keep teeny 1 lb (yep…you read that right…ONE POUND) 12 week old Sprout in your thoughts as she battles Hypoglycemia at the emergency hospital. She has been there a couple days so far and will probably be there a couple more but did finally eat a bit today which was a HUGE win 🏆

As soon as she leaves she will be going home with her amazing foster family so stay tuned for more info on this little fighter 💪🏻

…that sweater is actually a sock that her foster mom fashioned in to a sweater for her to wear at the hospital because their are no clothes small enough to fit that tiny body 🩷

This little guy’s name is Chowder! He’s a quiet kitten and the biggest love bug. He loves to nap, play, and cuddle. He’ll play with any and every toy he can get his paws on. He’s adventurous and loves to climb. He does great with other cats and will make the best addition to your family.

Panther came to us from a Good Samaritan. His owners moved and left him to fend for himself on the streets. The kind gentleman who was the neighbor, vetted him and kept him fed until we could get him. Panther is a sweet boy, very laid back and chill. He mainly just likes a good, warm spot to nap, he likes to cuddle with you once he gets comfortable. He enjoys scratches and pets, will purr and make biscuits. I think he will adjust to calm dogs and other cats with slow introductions and time. He has only been introduced to a dog briefly, there was some hissing but he didn't go after him or anything like that.

He’s a big boy, looks like a miniature panther, hence the name and is even more gorgeous in person! He really is the best cat ever. He’s a good snuggler and he’s quiet. He hasn't even bothered the Christmas tree or any of the gifts in his foster home, he will play some with a wand and toys, but he's mainly just a lazy boy that likes to eat and nap. He is 5 years old.

This long haired fellow is going to be a big boy. He is about 6 months old and absolutely cannot get enough snuggles. Grizz is up to date on his vaccinations, chipped, neutered and negative for FIV/FeLV. You can meet Grizz and maybe get a few snuggles at Petsmart Cool Springs.

Our Story

Pet & House Sitting- I began my passion for animals at a very young age, saving small animals from my family cat Taffe, to talking to just about every single animal I came in contact with, every animal I came across I felt deserved to be loved and respected.. Then in Junior High I began saving stray dogs that I would find dumped in our neighborhood and doing what I could to find them good homes. That passion continued onto High School where I volunteered at our local Humane Society all during high school and was honored by working my way up the volunteer laddeer.I knew that aniamls deserved a good life and to be with good families. I completely enjoyed and treasured, my time working for the humane Society and knew that my life would always be involved working with animals.

Once I moved to east nashville,I wanted very much to expand my working with animals and intertwine it with helping people. I began by working for local Rescues and doing Foster work and I took my passion to the next level and PAWS & HANDS began in 2007 It has continued to be a way for me to work with animals of all types and also help people. I am completely enjoying running PAWS & HANDS and I’m very happy with the lives it has touched.This will always be part of my lifes work..
