We managed to get some pics of August a few days before his birthday. He just started growing some coat back after losing every stitch but, he has really begun to grow into himself over the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, we didn't capture any pictures of our litter sister, Reign.

Tristan has earned the status of GCH Ceilidh's Legends of the Fall *ROM*! We are so proud of this accomplishment and Tristan's wonderful babies.

We thank the owners of Tristan's kids and the breeders who bred their girls to him, including Chrysalis, Wych, and Mello-D Collies, for their role in this accomplishment.

Tristan's #20, CH Mello-D's Here Comes the Sun "Harry," was also #7 for Mello-D's Chynna granting her ROM status. Thank you, Babbi, for playing a significant role in Tristan's achievement with an entire finished litter of 7

We have a couple more Tristan puppies close to finishing to add to his repertoire and another boy not far away from his ROM!

We made a very quick trip all the way up to NE Ohio to visit Barb's 6-week-old mob on Thursday.
Meeting these adorable puppies and experiencing their sweet, playful personalities was so much fun. I already can't wait to see them again. Our goal for this whirlwind puppy extravaganza was to capture lots of pictures. Despite the long, hot day they were such little troopers. Mission accomplished! We snapped countless photos of all ELEVEN puppies by CH Val Hi's Ace of Spades. These are some of our favorites.

Thank you Val Hi Collies for producing Ace and allowing us to be a part of your family. And thank you Aryggeth Collies for raising these tanks.

Finally getting around to posting about the Jackson, TN shows now that they're all wrapped up!

Heart won Variety the first two days, completing his championship with all 5-point majors! He is now:
CH Ceilidh's Heart and Soul

In addition to going Best of Variety, he also earned TWO group placements, Group 3 and 4. Thank you to the judges for their time and thoughtful feedback. We are just thrilled!

As a cherry on top, Heart is also champion number 7 for his dam, Nadia, co-owned with Crystal Stoner.

We just adore Nadia! She's a fantastic mom and even better couch ornament and cuddler.

One of our objectives for the Jackson shows, apart from completing Heart's championship in style, was to get some puppies geared up for the CCA Nationals coming up in a few days!!! Our 6-7 month olds did very well at their first shows, and we're very proud of the babies. Some of our '23 puppies from the Berry Bunch, Telepubbies, and Sugar Cubes are ready for their debut in the big ring! We are very excited for the dogs we have lined up to present at CCA, and eagerly anticipate seeing our friends and oodles of Collies in Illinois!

Now that this weekend's shows are over, we finally have some exciting reports!

From our local show:
We brought some other dogs and puppies out for practice 😉 and had a great time cheering on friends and getting to catch up some!
And most exciting, it is now 🌶️ (pending AKC) *CH* Ceilidh's A Little Too Spicy "Chai" 🌶️! She finished her championship with all majors, and two 5-points from this weekend as WB and BOW, respectively. Chai was bred by Lynda Cox and Jacque Bailey, her last bred-by litter, and born here. She was so special to us from the moment she was born! We're absolutely tickled with her and so thankful Lynda allowed us to have this wonderful girl and showed her to her championship.

Chai is #18 for her sire 🍂 GCH Ceilidh's Legends of the Fall "Tristan" 🍂! Only 2 more champions to go for his ROM and there are a couple that are already close!

From New York:
2 of our young puppies, co-owned with Dona and Taylor, went out to the Rochester specialties for their first shows!
Our bred-by boy 💥 Ceilidh's Thorn In My Side "Bramble" 💥 had two major reserves and showed like a little pro! He's a handful but he hammed it up and acted like a little professional for "his" audience. We're so thrilled with him and looking forward to what his future may hold.
🌸Val Hi's Soft Touch "Velvet" 🌸, bred by Marilyn Power, also made a splash with her debut by going WB/BOW/Best of BOW. She was also a little pro at her first show but this was less of a shock because she's much more polite than bad boy Bramble 😂. Thank you Dona and Taylor for working with and preparing these promising puppies for bright futures.

Ceilidh Collies had a good time at the Piedmont Collie Club specialty this past weekend! We were able to get some freshly 6 month old babies from The Berry Bunch in the ring for experience and they did very well learning to do this show dog thing.

We had the most fun socializing and lead training our 14 week old California Dreamers: Malibu, Coast, and Disney. They were a hit and kept everyone entertained with their silly baby shenanigans and fearless attitudes, especially chair-climbing firecracker Malibu.

It was great to see friends and we were glad the weather changed its mind and didn't rain us all into the barn. This weekend we are onto another show with even more of our dogs! The California Dreamers don't get to come along and be ringside entertainment this time; they will stay home and sleep off their exciting weekend. However, some very exciting news to share about this weekend's show is already on it's way soon!

We're back with more puppy pictures! Our not-quite-4-month-olds are being spared from more pictures so we have the opportunity to introduce our final 2023 litter in this new year!

Introducing our California Dreamers!

A repeat breeding by GCHG Ceilidh's If I Can Dream "Memphis" out of CH Ceilidh's When Calls The Heart "Shimmy". Their older siblings had very successful debuts out West and most are already champions.

These beachcombers are fearless with constantly wagging tails and happy smiles. They all started life very social by joining us just in time for Thanksgiving birthdays. We're very excited about the potential of these babies even at only 6 weeks old.

We're so thrilled with these puppies so far and so thankful to the co-owners and everyone involved in making this happen and getting momma Shimmy safely to this side of the country. We love having Shimmy temporarily back on our couch and her amazing gift of little Memphis morsels!

We managed to get 8 week pictures of 2/4 of The Sugar Cubes earlier this week. Everyone got baths, blowdries, and nails done but the sun was gone way too early to get pictures of the 2 blues, PopRocks and StarBurst. Daylight Savings makes things so difficult when the sun sets before 5pm. 🙃

Eye checks were done on Wednesday and 3 pups went home before we arrived back home from Ohio on Thursday.

PopRocks, from The Sugar Cubes, will have the opportunity to do any and every show venue his little heart desires with his new owner.
Tinky-Winky and Po, from the Telepubbies, have also gone to their new homes.
Tinky-Winky, now Addy, is growing up with Ann and Sarah of Deer Hill Farm with hopes of also doing all of the things. Po, now Fyfer, is with Jenni of GreatDogs with high expectations that we expect him to rise to.

We're very excited for the futures of this whole batch of puppies. They've been so fun and have the best temperaments!

The promised 10 week picture of Cloud from The Berry Bunch.

The one and only Berry Bunch member that was able to have a picture taken for the 10 week mark. We are planning on keeping Bramble and Acai from the bunch. Currant has found himself the greatest family that has previous Ceilidh graduates as therapy dogs and spoiled companions.

STILL waiting on AKC DNA parentage confirmation on the fuzzy black bear-ries but we, at least, know who Cloud's sire is without the results 😅

A whole week late but finally getting these pictures posted!

The Telepubbies @ 8 weeks old! We've decided to keep Laa-Laa here to grow up, pending eye checks which are scheduled for Nov 15.

We managed to get pictures of 5 of the 8 puppies I wanted to get pictures of in two days before having to travel. 10 week pictures of Cloud coming up right after this post; The rest of the Berry Bunch are little fuzzies so there wasn't enough daylight to get them prepped and photographed in time last week.

Attempts are being made to get some 8 week pictures of the Sugar Cubes today, the one day we can, before we have to pack all the pups up to travel across states for their eye checks. We'll see if we get that done 🙈

2 girls that started their lives here, Mazie (L) and Cali (R). Mazie is Cali's niece by a younger brother. Cali is a crazy girl but really took to Mazie immediately like she knew they were related. They are spoiled rotten by the best family: football, tug, and chase all day every day.

Every day is a great day for these Barbie girls in their dream house!

8 week pictures for The Berry Bunch!

We are STILL waiting for AKC to finish up DNA parentage testing so jury is still out on the sire of each rough puppy. We think all of the roughs are Rives' but we will have to wait and see if we are correct.

Despite taking the effort for these pictures, I actually find the best time to conformationally evaluate my puppies is around 10 weeks rather than 8. They don't look too shabby at this stage though!

Getting these pictures was quite the task that lasted 3 days of battling rain and the sun to get nice pictures in natural light with the pretty autumn atmosphere.
That being said, they aren't exactly 8 weeks in their photos: Bramble and Cloud are 8 wks/2 days, Acai is 8 wks/3 days, and Currant is 8 wks/3 days in the bed pictures and 8 wks/4 days in the table pictures.
We got these pictures one way or another! Acai had a bit of rain sprinkling on her throughout her pictures but everyone else managed to stay mostly dry. Currant's long awaited picture day was actually quite hot; Bramble and Cloud got lucky for their shoot day.

The Berries had their first full baths and blowdries and they've already started getting accustomed to the force dryer being used on them. The seemingly never-ending taping of ears continues on!

We hope to keep Bramble and Acai on, pending our final evaluations and their eye checks.
Eye checks for all 3 litters are scheduled for Nov 15th multiple states away.

The Telepubbies and Sugar Cubes moved in together yesterday and are having a blast!

They were introduced for about an hour, then all taken outside to play in the leaves together. We had some tired puppies after their group playtime and everyone retired back into the house for a well-deserved nap. We just love these sweet little guys!

Our youngest litter, dubbed The Sugar Cubes, had their first stack and table practice this week at 4 weeks and 2 days.

They were not feeling especially photogenic that day but did their best for their cookies. They were troopers despite the cold air and the Telepubbies yelling at them to come and play from across the room.

We love these sturdy little rainbow puppies. Their mommy, Naughty Nadia, still cleans up after and spends most of her time with them. She is the best mom there is!

All four of the puppies did really well on the table and having their feet placed. Some of them were extremely excited about their bribe, cottage cheese, and wiggled or tried to run around (and off of) the new high surface 😂.

Another Announcement!

We have 2 additional litters on the ground along with The Berry Bunch. Both sired by our special GCH Ceilidh's Legends of the Fall "Tristan".

Litter #2 was born out of Ch Kirkhaven N' Ceilidh's Irish Creme "Java" on September 11th. These four puppies are full of opinions and we've been loving their attitudes and shapes so far. They have been dubbed The Telepubbies: Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po. A blue smooth girl, sable merle smooth boy, sable merle rough girl, and sable rough boy.
The Tellepubbies are a repeat of a breeding proven to produce drive-y cuddly dogs with great off-switches and fun conformation dogs. One of this paring's previous puppies being our wild man, GCH Ceilidh's Celtic Legend "Cullain".

Litter #3 is out of GCHB Ceilidh's No Bounds, lovingly co-owned with Crystal Stoner (Accolade). These 4 babies were born September 17th, all being merles with the spalsh of white-factoring on each compliments of their white-factored mama. 2 white-factored sable merle smooths, a boy and girl, and 2 white-factored blues, a smooth boy and rough girl.
Names still TBD but we are excited about the assumed potential we've already seen in these munchkins as well.

All puppies are fat, healthy, happy, and doing extremely well so far! It's been a lot of work and caused announcement delays but we're holding out as the work load becomes more and more while they grow. 😅

First conformation shots and table fun time for The Berry Bunch at 4 weeks & 1 day. They're all big fans of cottage cheese!

Some of them were better at holding still and others are more photogenic lol

Cloud and Thimble are obviously confirmed Logan berries, being smooth. Jury is still out on the 3 tri roughs: Currant, Bramble, and Acai.

The Berries are 2 weeks and finally have names!

Cloud, Currant, Bramble, Açai, and Thimble

Eyeballs have started to peek through with Açai, the big tri girl, leading the pack with eyes already mostly opened. We're *pretty* sure all three tris are rough and the blues are smooth but Thimble is a tough one...

They decided today that they are very busy 2-week-olds, and had no time for a photoshoot. These are all they would allow after a bath and blow dry. Cloud graciously posed for multiple pictures, so you'll find her bonus shots at the end.

🎉 The Flurry puppies made their grand entrance right on schedule, arriving late on August 29th! We're thrilled to announce the arrival of 5 puppies – 2 boys and 3 girls. Their berry themed call names are still to be determined.

🔍 We eagerly anticipate DNA parentage results and will continue playing a little game of "Who's your Daddy" while we wait. Any smooths belong to Logan, but we're still in the detective phase, figuring out which are rough or smooth. It's a bit of a challenge since we don't have any sables as handy cheat codes.

🍓 Fast forward to today, and the Berry Bunch is already one week old! Time really does fly when you're having fun (and not sleeping). We're delighted to report that everyone is thriving and steadily gaining weight. These little ones are growing into quite the chunks, resembling tiny walruses as they scoot around their cozy box. They've just started some playful antics with each other and with us. The real adventure is just beginning!

Our beloved CH Ceilidh's Sculpted In Snow "Flurry," is preparing to welcome an upcoming litter of eagerly awaited bundles of joy.

This impending arrival is 'berry' special as its a dual-sired litter. Our hopes are high for a true dual-sire, adding an extra layer of anticipation.

Sire 1: CH Dreamhearts Gallant Patriot RN "Rives"

Sire 2: CH Tango's Full Moon Fever "Logan"

Both of these remarkable boys bring a host of admirable qualities to the equation. You can catch a glimpse of the potential puppy pedigrees in the accompanying photos.

The upcoming litter will encompass tri and blue merle puppies, with both smooth and rough coats. Following a series of brown litters, we're eagerly looking forward to the delightful splash of color the little blueberries and blackberries will bring.

We had a fabulous 2023 CCA National and are especially proud of this boy! Despite only getting to show once a year he walks into the ring as if he does it every day of his life. He inherited his mother's showmanship! He is the cuddliest dog at home, as well as his babies, but a seasoned professional whenever he comes out for the CCA Nationals.
