Well it's not pretty, but it is working! Took 4 new components which we will tidy up and put back together once I have run it some to make sure no more gremlins exist. Energy is up 15-20% now that it is cooling properly. Many thanks to all with concerns and offers of aid. Now to catch up on past due holograms!

Latest Update. We are still working feverously on getting the laser up and running again. I've got my crack team of Norm and Ella on it. Ella is being trained to find the culprit. "Come on girl..., go sniff out the bad circuit... Good girl!"

Recently I had the privilege to visit a old colleague who currently owns the largest laser collection in the world, and has professionally assembled this collection for public viewing. Vintage Lasers & Holograms. Located in Tempe Arizona, Mr. Bob Hess has over 500 lasers in his growing collection of the evolution of the LASER (Light Amplification of Stimulated Emission Radiation), arguably one of the most important inventions of our time. Also documented and on display is a very nice collection of display holograms (reflection & transmissions) to see which is being added to daily. All this with a guide whose knowledge base is through the roof! Did I mention it is currently free? I mean it, go see this guy and his wonderful museum!

I will be attending the International Symposium of Display Holography next week and presenting the paper, "Pseudo Color Holography using a Green Wavelength Pulsed Laser and the making of Larry Lieberman's last Hologram". Looking forward to linking up with old friends and meeting newcomers.

Here's something you don't see everyday. An unopened box of Agfa plates dated 1979!! Courtesy of my new old friend Martin Richardson. Plates were kinda dirty (filthy) from the ravages of time, but still recorded a decent hologram-Wow.
