Good thing BCHS has plenty for everyone and they are all ready and waiting for a loving home. We are open Sunday and Monday from Noon to 5pm and then we will be open again for regular hours beginning on Friday.

When you've been in the shelter for nearly 2 years, sometimes you just need some time away. Luckily for Inga, she has some great friends who took her for a quick ice cream treat before the weather gets too cold this week!

Mardi visited the Chocolate Walk this past weekend and was absolute PERFECTION!
She loved meeting all the people who attended and soaked in every ounce of attention they were willing to give her. Mardi especially perked up when kids approached and shared lots of kisses with them.

Dog Adoptions Starting at $1
Our kennels are full and many of these dogs have been waiting over a month for a home to call their own! It's time to make some magic happen.
Beginning this Friday, Sept. 20 and running thru Monday, Sept. 30 all dogs who have been here 30 days or more will have adoption fees starting at just $1!
Each time a dog is adopted, the fee increases by $1, so the sooner you adopt, the better the deal!
All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchopped, heartworm tested and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to adoption.
This special only applies to dogs that have been in the shelter for 30 days or longer. The special is first-come, first-served and no holds will be completed.

Mardi's Training Day!
Mardi - super smart and sweet too!
After just a few short training sessions, Mardi has mastered sit, down, touch and shake! She is as sweet as she is smart! She'll be an easy dog to train!
Whether she's walking gently on a leash or demonstrating her impressive repertoire of tricks, Mardi strikes the perfect balance between independence and affection. Smart, sweet with a slightly timid demeanor, Mardi is ready to brighten the life of her forever family.

Waylon Goes to Town
Waylon spent the day in Nashville, visiting shops and meeting new people. He was perfect!
He was curious, but not rambunctious while in the shops. Waylon met new people politely, enjoying pets but not overly enthusiastically! He was calm when seeing other dogs in town. Simply a perfect dog to take out on the town!

Inga and Dax are back again to compete for the winner of our musical sit contest. It was a VERY close race, but there was a clear winner in the final round! We also think Amy may have had even more fun than the dogs participating in this contest 😆 Check it out in this video.

Today's our Final Day of Easter Fun with Inga and Figg!
We couldn't let Easter go by without giving each the chance to do their very own Easter egg hunt with their friends. Both dogs had a blast and found all the eggs, but one did it just a bit faster than the other. Who will the winner be? Watch to find out!!
