PSA: Yardstick

I told everybody that Yardstick seemed to be a good place to board dogs. This is where we took my grand puppy when we had to juggle schedules with boarding at our house.

came back coughing so hard and she couldn’t stop. No one told us about it. No one called. No one said she was coughing when we picked her up. Whether it originated as kennel cough, nobody knows. But it progressed…

She has received 2 to 3 rounds of antibiotics, 1 round of steroids, and an emergency vet visit where my son was told that she had pneumonia. She literally couldn’t breathe.

So I take back my recommendation of Yardstick on Charlotte.

I would hate anyone else’s dog to go through the same thing. Picture for cuteness, this was taken the week before her stay. 💕🐾💕

This should never happen to any dog!

That’s why we take extra care to ensure your pets are cool and cared for on these extremely hot days. We have incorporated the following protocols to keep your pets safe:

1. Walk on sidewalks and pavement as little as possible to protect pads.
2. Limit outside playtime, and revert to inside play when the temps are up.
3. Make sure your pets have plenty of fresh cool water.
4. Ensure it’s cool inside and that they are comfortable.
5. Watch for signs of heat exhaustion.

That’s why you love us!!! We treat your pets as if they are our own. And they are, because they (and you) are family.

Kennels have dog flu and kennel, cough rampantly spreading throughout.

Thank you for the trust you’ve placed in PetZEN. We will always do our best to ensure your pets safety.

Pawsitively PAMPER Your Pets with PetZEN! I began PetZEN about three years ago, with the idea that since I love dogs and exercise, I could walk a dog or two on my lunch break. I had no idea that I would be downsized and this would turn into a full time passion. I walk, sit, home visit, provide homemade dog treats and board for over 40 families within the three neighborhoods surrounding Riverwalk. We look forward to adding you to the PetZEN family.
