We are looking to fill a part time secretary position, with the potential for full time hours and more!

We are looking for:
◦ Someone who has experience with customer service
◦ A background or experience in sales
◦ A person who is confident to lead a team of 20 groomers
◦ Someone with good organizational skills, preferably with experience of logistical routing
◦ Good at multi-tasking
◦ Has knowledge of the map-out of towns on Long Island and south Florida
◦ And has a passion for pets

The training period for this position will be held at a location in Massapequa, and will run for a couple weeks, or until we’re confident in your abilities to work alone.

After training, this will be an active remote job. Your responsibilities will include:
◦ Answering phone calls, messages, emails, social media dms, and any other avenues of communication between us and our clients.
◦ Booking appointments using our smart system app, finding the soonest and best logistical spot within our company based on our groomers’ routes.
◦ Confirming clients appointments who did not yet confirm themselves via text.
◦ Reaching out to potential clients using our abandoned booking list, enticing clients who may have backed out of our system because of availability or price, and offering them a sooner appointment or new client discount, and finish selling the client on our amazing services.
◦ You will be considered the hub & heart of our operation, our team may reach out to you during working hours for help to adjust their schedules as needed.

Regular professional grooming can help keep your cat happy and healthy!

Although our feline friends clean themselves, at leastonce a season they need help from a professional groomer to assist them in keeping their coat maintained and manageable

Another reason professional grooming is important for kitties is that we can help in spotting health concerns in spots that you might not be able to see. Whether it's a bump you were unsure of or just getting a better look in their mouth - if something is funky we will spot it!

As you know, Marketa recently joined our team during our merger early this month. Here's a little about her!

"Hello, I'm Marketa—a passionate animal lover and artist originally from the Czech Republic. My journey to the United States began at the age of 18, arriving without a word of English, trying to achieve the American dream. This experience pushed me to adapt quickly, and it's a story I could easily turn into a novel!

My true passion is animals—they're the air I breathe and the reason I eagerly greet each new day. Grooming, for me, is an art form, a satisfying blend of creativity and precision. I continuously refined my skills, attending classes and courses to enhance my knowledge.

Professionally, I offer more than just grooming services. I'm a certified holistic pet coach, CPR-trained, and a pet massage therapist. This diverse skill set allows me to provide comprehensive care that leaves your pets feeling spoiled and cherished.

Outside of caring for animals, I indulge my love for art and photography, capturing the world through creative lenses. Pickleball, stock trading, and hiking keep me busy every day. At home, I share my life with two dogs and three cats, always striving to live each day to its fullest because in life, you never know what's next.

We know... your pup is SHEDDING nonstop!

If you book an appointment with us and add on our special deshedding shampoo and conditioner we can:

⁃ Loosen a lot of that undercoat while the shampoo and conditioner works its magic
⁃ Blow out the clumps of hair that you see poking out of their top coat
⁃ Spend more time and more elbow grease brushing out any hair thats left behind
⁃ Help reduce shedding if you book on a constant schedule (recommended 4-6 weeks)

✨ MEET THE TEAM: DARA ✨

Dara is our newest addition to the team, another talented groomer from Grizzly & Bear Spa! Here's a little about her:

"Hi, my name is Dara! I've been grooming dogs for about 15 years, and I can't imagine doing anything else! I love dogs, and I love what I do! I have 3 dogs of my own as well.. a Toy Poodle, a Shihtzu/Poodle mix, and a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix.

I've been working and volunteering with animals since I was 12 years old, and grew up having multiple dogs, amongst many other pets. I went to school for dog grooming in 2009, then after school I worked under multiple master groomers learning many more techniques and safe handling skills.

I enjoy building a bond of trust with the dogs I groom, and I treat every dog with kindness and respect using gentle handling techniques, patience, and a calm energy. I have experience grooming many dog breeds and personalities from hyper dogs and puppies, to seniors and anxious dogs.

My specialties/favorite breeds to groom are poodles/poodle mixes, Bichons, Pomeranians, and Shihtzus...but I love working with all dogs... and strive to make all of my doggie clients happy, comfortable, and looking their best!"

We've done a post on this before but it's important for the overall health of your pup to check the inside of their ears

Although we do offer ear plucking included in our services, we ask if you'd like them plucked or not because every pups ears reacts differently

If you don't want the hair plucked, we can trim it to avoid situations like this!
