A few young dogs and a few puppies around 12 weeks old.

Here are a few pictures of mom with the puppies couple of the older dogs, looking for homes and finally pictures of what you may expect the cups to look like full grown. 

Maya and Finn are looking for homes as well.

Several dogs were adopted out a year ago and recently returned to the breeder.

I'm a bit nostalgic today. I'm taking advantage of a Shutterfly special offer and making Paulie's ornament for the tree. I wanted 'old Paulie' on the front.. then went looking for a young Paulie to put on the back of the ornament with his name.

He was a stunning example of an English Labrador Retriever.

When I created Drury Lane Labradors in 1998, I never imagined the new friendships I would embark on... all because of the love of Labrador Retrievers. This is one of those friendships.

Liz came in, like many do, looking for a puppy, but acknowledging that the pup could never replace her previous best friend. She put a lot of time and thought into selecting a puppy. I suspect 13.5 years later, she will agree she found the right dog. Never a replacement, but most definitely a new companion that lodged himself deeply within her heart.

She, her husband, and her daughter welcomed Brodie and boy did this guy have a fantastic life. He was part of the family. Liz posted first and last day of school photos and school dance photos... Brodie was always front and center. Brodie had a special relationship with the UPS delivery man too. Brodie was best friends with his sibling, Molly, who lived just around the corner.

Liz messaged me last week to let me know Brodie had crossed over the rainbow bridge. I am sad as I write this as I know the sorrow the family will experience.

Here's to you, Brodie, the most loyal, kind, and awesome companion.

He was patient, kind, faithful, calm, even tempered, and loyal.... the perfect lab.

We had a long run. I will miss my soul-dog tremendously.
