Big sweet girl Azara
Just got done with a ride and she is waiting for some horse cookies. Can’t believe how tall she has gotten over the last year. She is now 15.3 and boy am I having a hard time getting on her now 😂 I’m 5’2 and that stirrup sits level with my hip hahaha I actually used a mounting block to get in her this time… time to start yoga again

Azara bareback
1 year ago, at age 3, I was teaching Azara pressure of leg bareback ; moving on her hind quarters, backing up, stopping and turning on her front… I love riding bareback and feeling the horse under me, her feeling me, connecting without leather and straps.
I trained her this way. I don’t like to use the term ‘broke’… I trained her to respond to slight pressure and movements to keep her soft in the face and body.
She is now 4, and so good under saddle. She still prefers no bit, as does his sister G. They are so responsive, they don’t need bits.
