Meet Vance and Valor, our adorable dynamic duo who are in desperate need of a loving foster or forever home! Born on October 8, 2024, these lovable pups are already weighing in at 60 and 56 lbs, and they’re still growing! With their goofy personalities and playful spirits, they bring fun and laughter wherever they go.

Vance and Valor are up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm and flea prevention, microchipped, and neutered—everything you need for a happy, healthy addition to your family.

Vance, in particular, has a special bond with his buddy Valor and gets sad when he is not near; they love to run, roll, and play together, making it hard to separate them. However, we suspect that Vance may have slightly low vision, which could explain why he’s so attached to his brother.

These sweet boys deserve a chance to thrive in a loving environment where they can feel safe and cherished. If you have room in your heart and home for these big softies, please reach out —we will help provide everything you need, and together, we can create a miracle for Vance and Valor!

Sunday was the best day ever for ten puppies born in Campti, Louisiana. After months of getting them ready to go to North Shore Animal League America,
they began their journey on a NSALA transport truck with some super special friends.....Ted, Karla and Brenda.
The NSALA transport team drove from Port Washington, NY to pick the pups up and bring them to their new lives in NY where they will be happy, safe and loved by caring families!
FAUNA has worked with Karla and Ted for years but this was our first time to meet this amazing team of animal heroes. It was huge honor for our volunteers.

We are so grateful for the generous donations and for NSU Middle Lab School teaching the students about our rescue and what we do.

Mrs. Hudson’s YVC and Beta clubs had a joint service project to benefit the animals in FAUNA’s care. In addition to donating dog and cat supplies, they held a hoodie/jogger fundraiser and raised $486! This little 14 pound fur angel has made Trevor, Jacob and Jennifer Louise EXTREMELY HAPPY!
Winnie was so nervous at first. She stayed near or under the skirt of her foster mom, Katie. Little by little she warmed up.
The best part was when Jennifer Louise accepted her and her tail was a waggin’! Reports from her new home life bring us joy. She is running, playing, snuggling and loving the life Trevor, Jacob and Jennifer are giving her. The guys loved Winnie Poo but her name, not so much. She is now Venus Cabernet.
We love it and we love Trevor, Jacob and Jennifer.
And we would be remiss if we didn’t thank our special foster family....Travis and Katie Speed.

This morning winds have damaged FAUNA's site again.
We have a volunteer to rebuild and repair but after assessment meeting tomorrow we will be asking for supplies and donations. We are so fortunate to have the gracious volunteers with the labor!!!!
And we are counting our blessings that ALL the dogs are safe!!!!

We are pleased as pie (or Pi Day) to let all FAUNA fans know that Willow is headed back to Natchitoches today! She will stay at Good Hope Veterinary Hospital to finish recovering from her skin surgery! We are raising funds for Willow's remaining medical costs and for our TNR efforts with community cats for our $5 Friday today!
