We are still trying to raise funds for the local horse sale coming up this Friday, we easily have room for 4 but as it stands we will not be able to bring back even one. We are currently raising funds to try to bring back at least 4 from an upcoming local auction. Please help us intercept these horses who have entered the slaughter pipeline

Horses are still trucked through New York on their way to a slaughterhouse in Canada, even after the U.S. effectively eliminated their slaughter for human consumption.

⭐️🇺🇲TSETVA's HOOVES FOR HEROES🇺🇲⭐️ is one of the three programs we will be introducing this month, the program will serve veterans and their dependents through equine assisted therapeutic horsemanship.

Charitable donations will allow us to offer TSETVA Veterans Program services will be offered at no cost to active duty service personnel, members of the Guard or Reserve, or any veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, and their dependents.

TSETVA programs are individually tailored to meet the unique needs of the client. Our goal is to leverage the power of the horses to ease the participant's transition to civilian life and help them realize their potential as civic assets and community leaders.

Among the benefits:

More effective communication skills

Healthier relationships

Enhanced emotional regulation

Greater self-confidence

Fellowship and camaraderie

Opportunities to serve the community

Many veterans suffer in silence from the effects of trauma and the dehumanization they have witnessed in war zones. Horses are able to break the emotional barriers the soldiers have created to protect themselves. Horses respond to a human’s emotional state in an honest way, and learning how to relate to them helps veterans regain confidence and trust, and helps them to cope with emotional stress.

TSETVA is dedicated to ending horse slaughter and other forms of equine abuse, while promoting growth, collaboration and professionalism in the equine rescue and protection community.

"HIP 652" 12 Year Old QH Mare has come a long way in 30 days, when she first arrived she was very parasitic and pneumatic and not healthy enough for the badly needed dental work and vaccinations. We had her seen immediately by our veterinarian, Brandon Mallard, DVM of Halifax County Veterinary who prescribed antibiotics, special feeds and minerals and we were able to get her dental work (which took Dr Mallard the better part of an hour!) about 2 weeks later, she is still not where we ultimately will see her but her body score and overall health is much improved. She was one of the later horses in the sale and was presented as 15+, we were so happy to hear that she was actually younger than that and wow, she has her whole life ahead of her! She is such a kind and gentle mare, easy to catch and great ground manners, we are certain that at one time in her life she was handled by a knowledgeable person who for whatever reason had to sell and this was where we found her. We are so happy to have been able to bring her here and give her back her life and show her the kindness and care all horses deserve. Thanks to everyone who supported her intercept at that March sale, she would not be here without you and your generosity 💕
