As I always say when I share this hideously long post yearly...
THANK YOU SO MUCH for trusting me with the care of your pet family, I DO appreciate all of you so much!

On that note, I do want to talk to you about my future work schedule as CATTITUDE ATTITUDE.
**TO CLARIFY...since so many people have asked, I am NOT retiring fully**
I am going to take my Social Security on Feb 1, 2025, and I will continue to work my CATTITUDE ATTITUDE posted business hours of 8am-4pm 7 days a week, which in my world means "part-time".

For the few remaining (dog) customers of mine, I may be able to accommodate your needs from time to time, but now is the time to secure alternate care/backup sitter for when I need to decline.

From a business perspective, changing from "Emerald Coast Critter Sitter" to "Cattitude Attitude" was a good one! I underestimated the sheer volume of people who prefer a caregiver who focuses on CATS! Who would have thought, right?

My intention when I closed Emerald Coast Critter Sitter and started Cattitude Attitude was to lighten my workload and to have animals to care for such as cats, reptiles & birds that can be scheduled during the daytime and be less physically demanding.

Please feel free to connect with me privately for Licensed/Bonded/Insured Professional Pet Sitters in our area for future needs moving forward as I lighten my workload.
If you're already on the books, you're AOK!

From the day of this new edit, Dec 2nd, through Jan 2nd, 2024, all that is available would be a spot or two here and there mid-morning or right after lunch for CATS only, although Dec. 20-25 is completely SOLD OUT.
These will be reserved for current customers as my time is quite limited to arrange a meet & greet for anyone new.

These are the types of posts I feel horrible about...my SOLD-OUT dates.
But, I need to let you know ASAP so you have the chance to seek out alternative pet care for the remainder of 2023.

From Sep 1, 2023-Jan 2, 2024 I am basically FULL.

If you are a current cat customer, check your schedules for anything coming up through the end of the year and let me know any dates you may need me, even if tentative as that will help me schedule & route my jobs for the remainder of 2023.

There is a good possibility I may not be able to accept any new clients until Jan 2024.

2023 proved to be the busiest year since 2019 so there are going to be some significant changes coming next year as far as scheduling personal days OFF to save me from the wrath of utter exhaustion that comes when Nanny Alice doesn't have one day off for many months in a row.

Since I do continue to accept bookings from a handful of longtime dog customers as of right now, requiring early morning and late evenings, my days have been 12-15 hours long almost continuously. It's been challenging!

I am blocking out these future dates to give myself "recovery time".

Sat & Sun Nov 11th & 12th
"Sort of" OFF
Sun & Mon Dec 31st & Jan 1st after the hours of
11:30 a.m. both days when I finish up the remainder of my holiday season jobs those mornings.
The dates above will be my only chance to secure some personal time for myself to rest and recover from now through the end of the 2023 holiday season.

2024 stuff!
As many people know, Jan/Feb are my "cruise months" when many folks take their long vacation cruises to warmer climates! So now is the time to book!

I still have many people on a waitlist for the 2023 holiday season in case of cancellations, but I will be honest with you, so far everyone is hanging on tight to their dates so far.

Spring Break for Santa Rosa County schools will be
Mar 25-29, 2024, which means that I will fill up fast from
Mar 22-31, 2024.
*Mar 31, 2024, is also EASTER SUNDAY! This will make for an exceptionally BUSY time coinciding with our schools being on break.

As always, major holidays fill up months, even a year or more in advance. I already have reservations coming in for Spring Break, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and of course, Thanksgiving & Christmas weeks in 2024.

I apologize for the lack of time daily for the remainder of this very busy year to accommodate your pet care needs. As we speak, I am trying to network with more Licensed/Bonded/Insured Professional Pet Sitters in our area to refer you to in case of limited availability.

I cannot express my gratitude enough for all of your support over the previous 22 years in trusting me with the care for your precious pet family! I truly love & adore all of your babies and enjoy every minute with them!

Well, this is embarrassing.
An hour ago I received about a dozen emails sent via my website email link. All at once, all sent by people from Sat-Tue!
I am furiously returning emails now, I'm calling it the "apology tour".
If for some weird tech glitch in the future, if you do not receive a response from me within a couple hours, feel free to call/text me asap! Even if I am knee deep in cats and crazy-busy I will acknowledge the message and respond in full as soon as I get a break in the day.

The longest living cat I used to share my life with was Townshend. He lived to be 18 years old. I miss that boy.

The average cat lifespan can vary, especially if we're talking about outside cats vs domestic cats. Understand the factors that affect cat lifespans.

It's that time of year again. Remember to have an evacuation plan in place as well and know your flood zone. If you are new to our area, this is very important. (I will add a link in the comments)
Keep an eye on weather reports while you are on vacation as things can ramp up quickly. Make certain that you already have had the "what-if" hurricane conversation and a plan ready with the caregiver, be it myself or another sitter or your "trusted" friend, neighbor, or relative that says they will help you if you do not return. Prepare to return to protect your home and most importantly, your precious family members.
They will thank you.
