Rough time on the farm the past 2 days. We have a predator taking off with our flock. We have a idea of what but didn't catch it on camera till 10/16 at night. So the other night we lost one of the new ducklings; without a trace. Last night we lost our Cayuga/Silver Appleyard hen and 1 adult goose; without a trace. We did catch a neighbor dog on the cameras; its been on our property before when our animals go missing in the past but never caught on camera till now. Then around 11:23am today the rest of the new ducklings (5) vanished without a trace.

We've finally built a gate for the shelter; now that we're slowly rehoming our goat herd, we'll convert the shelter into the new pig pen.

As promised, here is our current flock enjoying the pool with the littles this morning. All were supervised during this introduction and neither adults nor ducklings were harmed.
The older ducks made sure Mrs Mohr got to enjoy the water too 😂, they splashed her good!

Do yall remember our kune kune pigs, Butters and Biscuit?
Butters started breaking out and roaming so we found him a new home. Shortly after Biscuit started going to the neighbors and caught their heart so she made that her home. Fast forward and..
A couple months ago Biscuit had her litter, she was pregnant with Butters babies! We have had a opportunity to start again with 2 of their babies. Everyone meet Brownie (female) and we have a little male who will be available.

She finally did it yall!
Henrietta is finally a mommy; after all the hard work she and us put in to protect these little guys we finally did it. She has been trying to hatch out her eggs since we had the really bad flood; we've dealt with loosing our rooster "Blue", a crow constantly stealing her eggs, dealing with the elements of the weather (shes in our garden), and a predator killing my previous chicks that were going to be switched with the eggs.

Most of these guys will be purebred Cinnamon Queens but we do have one easter egger mix, and one black australorp mix
