UPDATE at the park:

You may see poles off to the side in the parking lot. Those are for LIGHTS in the parking lot as well as out in the park.

Rules signage is up and trail signage has been updated.

Trails through the wooded area are still being worked on. The fire department was going to help us out and that fell through. The parks department is working on it yet.

🐶 New Dog Park!!!
The Jerry Finch Winnebago County Dog Park in the Village of Fox Crossing is opening to the public on October 8. This is a soft opening so the public can begin enjoying the dog park.
Located near the corner of Ehlers Road and North Green Bay Road (1111 Ehlers Rd.), the 4.5-acre dog park offers plenty of room to exercise dogs off-leash in a safe, enclosed fenced area. The new dog park is open from sunrise to sunset and features ample parking, porta-potty, dog waste station, and a separate fenced area for small dogs.
Upgrades at the park will continue next spring and will include benches, trails, agility equipment for dogs, a trail cut through the wooded area, and a small enclosure for the porta-potty. A formal ribbon cutting will occur in spring when all of the improvements are complete.

We have a name!!! The official name of the new dog park is Jerry Finch Winnebago County Dog Park. This is in honor of Jerry Finch who was persistent for decades in helping identify a new dog park in Winnebago County.

A soft opening of the dog park is expected in a few weeks. Watch for more information.

Welcome K9 Faro!

K9 Faro (pronounced Far-O) recently arrived to Appleton to be partnered with Sgt. Rohm. The pair will soon be in a six week training program for patrol and narcotics detection with K-9 Services to get K9 Faro ready to hit the street running! Welcome to APD!
