Sometimes urban farming means trying new things and having to wait for results. My spaghetti squash has been suffering from incomplete pollination, and dropping its fruit. This one surprised me and seems to be making it.

Fresh back from a week of camping, one of the first things I did was bring in lunch. Pick things small and often for better flavor and a longer harvest!

Mr. Sough View and I are taking a week off the farm to go camping. With a trusty waterer back home to keep the plants healthy, I can't help peruse my favorite seed catalog and dream of next year. Part of the challenge of urban farming is not biting off more than you can chew, not easy when you'd like to get one of everything!
