We have Berkshire pork sides ready to go! They weigh about 100 # at $2.69/lb (limited time price). This includes regular processing (bacon brine/smoke, brats extra) That will get you about 80 # of meat on the table plus bones to smoke for your puppy and suet to render for lard or feed the birds. That’s about $3.36/lb on your plate.

Garlic is getting close to harvest time! We should have cured garlic by the end of August. We pulled some tests today of Italian Lorz and Transylvanian. We’re excited, but cautiously so, as every step can ruin the crop. 🙏🏻 🤞

Is your freezer looking a little empty?

We’ve got good news for you! These three cows are going into the processor in just two weeks, which means you could fill that freezer up with delicious 100% grass-fed beef cut to your specifications by the end of June!

Our beef is 100% grass-fed from start to finish and is never given any hormones or antibiotics. The animals are rotationally grazed on this luscious green pasture (except for the area around their water that they tend to prefer as muddy as possible!) for their health and to help regenerate the land/sequester carbon. Beef is available by the quarter and is $4.25/lb hanging weight plus processing fees (paid directly to the processor).

This is the last time our beef will be available for this price! Due to increased market costs for cattle, the price per pound will go up when we butcher again in the fall.

We all think we know how to cook the perfect scrambled eggs but I’m constantly relearning new techniques. I think my cookbooks open themselves up to “scrambled eggs” automatically and my family laughs because, well, it’s ONLY scrambled eggs after all. 🤷‍♂️

Lately, the 8 year old farm laborer that lives here bet me that there was cheese in his eggs.. he lost that bet - they were JUST the creamiest eggs ever.

Speaking of eggs. The girls are beginning to lay again and the replacement stock is getting feathers and their tweets are becoming chirps. The Avian Flu threat is keeping them indoors and that’s a downer for the girls.

We’ll try to make everyone happy as soon as possible. 🙏🏻

Happy Spring! We have BEEF “on the rail”, cut to your specifications and pickup within a week or so!

It is angus/simmental cross. A side (half) weighs 335 #. At $3.50/ # that’s $1,172.50 all in. A quarter would be $586.25. That includes processing!

It is well-marbled and would grade out as upper choice.

Every year we restock a few birds to keep eggs coming in - it’s been a slow winter and spring but hopefully the girls will be laying daily soon! 🤞

To all of our soy free chicken/duck feed customers- we were not pleased with the amount of fines in the last several batches so we removed oats (which tripled in price) and added molasses as a binder.

The results are amazing. The nutritional value is the same and the pellets are much better. They will look a bit darker as well.
