This week we are open for medication refills and pick ups. We can do small things such as nail trims and recheck bloodwork. There have been many calls trying to get in and unfortunately our hands are tied! Our doctor is on vacation and we suggest you calling around if it's urgent for your pet to be seen! We hate to hear your struggle and we don't ever want anything bad to happen to your fur babies! Please do not hesitate to have records transfered for last minute emergencies that we can't see this week! We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause we really do wish we could see you this week but without a break here and there burnout would consume us! We do not want you to go anywhere else but understand time doesn't stand still... ever!

We appreciate your understanding and patience at this time.

It's that time of year again! If your pet is anything like most of our staff's pets, it's time to start thinking about the fire works. Please contact us and get your prescriptions filled, even if your not picking it up right away, we don't want to run out and then have your pets (and yourselves for dealing with their stress) to suffer.

If you are a neighbor who knows your neighbors animals have a fear of fireworks, and you know this neighbor well please give them an hour or 2 heads up so they can get their dogs medicated with enough time to kick in before you enjoy your evening(s) of booms!

We would like to thank all of those who have been patient with us at this time. We've lost a huge chunk of staff and are in the process of training 4 new girls and catching up 2 of our past employees who have missed us and decided they wanted to come back. We ask that you keep this in mind when your at the clinic and have some extra patience with us as they learn our ways and furthur their knowledge and education.

06/11/2024

Just a friendly reminder that the doctor will be out of the office the 21st to the 28th this month. We know some of you get medications for your fur babies that are special order and are asking you to call or text us now to get your refills before he is out of office. We will still be able to get them when he's gone but it'll take a little bit longer. Normal medications that we carry in clinic won't be an issue for refills at this time. We are just asking that you don't wait last minute to get special orders in.

05/22/2024

Due to lack in staff at our facility at this time, we have to consider our current clients first at this time. We are putting a pause on accepting new clients until further notice. We will suggest that you call monthly to see if we are accepting again. We ask that you be patient with us as this is a hard decision we've had to make. We would love to see and treat you all, but it has become overwhelming due to short staff and hope this won't be a long term situation.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to see you and hear from you in the future!

With the weather index rising so is the temperatures of the inside of your vehicles and the temperature of the asphalt.

Please be cautious and leave your babies at home while running arrends.

Rule of thumb for walking your dogs on possibly hot surfaces: stand on it barefoot if it hurts your feet it'll burn their feet! We see this situation every year and it simply could be avoided by walking them in the grass or not at all.

05/22/2024

Just another friendly reminder we have, we will be closed this up coming Monday the 27th for memorial day and will resume services Tuesday the 28th. We will try to see as many of you as our schedule allows to make up for the lost time. We hope you all enjoy your holiday weekend and get to get some relaxation and family time in!

P.S.A we are officially down to 1 doctor now. He will be out of the office a few up coming dates to spend some quality time with his family. We can still administer some medications and can do a few services like needed blood collection, f***l drop offs, and simple things like nail trims and a**l gland expressions. Other services will not be provided at these times. Sorry for any inconvenience this may Cause you and your fur babies.

Just a reminder, Wisconsin's state flower is in full bloom near Wellness Vet Clinic (pictured below) and we want you all to get here safely! Please make sure if you do not know your way around the construction, you leave early for your appointment to account for time.

Please also see the maps we have posted previously and utilize your gps and detour signs! Our receptionists are trying hard to get you all here, but with an increase in direction related calls you may not be able to get through right away.

Please be patient and try your very best to get you and your four legged pals here safely!

Next week the road to get to our clinic will be shut down long term. One of the girls made up a couple of maps to get to the clinic in other ways. Please be patient with the girls at reception if you call to get to us, some of them are unfamiliar with these routes and will be as calm on the phone with you as much as possible to get you to us. We expect delays and late appointments throughout the day. We advise if you don't know these routes, to leave a few minutes earlier, because as you all know the closures are popping up all over and change every day!

Regarding our previous post these are the products that we carry that help prevent the transmission of heartworm.
The nexgard plus and simparica trio also prevent against fleas.
Give our clinic a jingle, text, or email to get refills or new product for your furbabies for the year.

Did you know it's heartworm awareness month?! We're a little delayed on our post but we would like to fill you in on the topic.

We're seeing this more and more in the area, and it isn't an area specific disease and can be found world wide. It is spread by mosquitos, if they bite an infected dog and then bite your dog they will get it. This is not a zoonatic disease so humans can't get it. When we do heartworm tests or 4dx tests we are testing for the previous years exposure.

The treatment for heartworm is extensive... and expensive. It requires your dog to be well rested for 6 months, to be on steroids, heartworm meds (interceptor, heartgard, etc), and 3 injections of chemo medication. After that they have to stay on a preventative year long for the rest of their life.

Learn the facts about heartworm disease and keep your pet healthy and heartworm-free.

Although this is a different veterinary clinics site, it's got the best descriptions on what you should avoid during the upcoming holiday!

Although we love to see you we don't like to see our furiends feeling ill or have a surgery that could have been avoided.

We hope you all have a Happy Easter next Sunday and enjoy your family time.

Easter is lots of fun for humans, but there are some hazards that can be dangerous for our dogs and cats! Read on for what to watch out for this holiday.

Update: as it turns out lots of businesses get this same message so fingers crossed nobody actually reported us for nothing!

Somebody has reported our page for inappropriate postings and hate speech. This page may be deleted, but know we are still around and have no idea what this is about or if it's fake. We love all our clients and their fur babies and never would do anything to jeopardize them or you and hope this gets resolved!

Hey there Fur-iends!

If you haven't stopped by the clinic in the last week or so, we have our holiday hours posted for all to see! We will be closed tomorrow (November 23) so that our hard-working and dedicated staff can spend some well deserved time with their family and their own four legged pals. We will be open Friday (November 24) for medication pickups and scheduling appointments (not same day) only, and will resume normal hours on Monday.

We would like to take this time to wish all of our clients and patients of very happy turkey day! Don't forget to watch your four leggeds around the turkey, mashed potatoes and pies and we will see you all soon! 🐾

We know! A repeat from last year but sometimes people just need a little friendly reminder. We love to see you and your pets, but we don't love seeing them when they are sick from something that could have been avoided.. this is just a short list of things you can give and shouldn't give on Thanksgiving. If you'd like them to join in on festivities there's lots of things they can consume with you.

Before anyone has anything bad to say: this man is a Licensed falconer and safely practices falconry. He told us his story and what he does and he does release them to live a happy full life when they have reached a proper age. He is not shown in pictures for privacy reasons that we hope you'll respect and give so you can also see his awesome feathered friends!

NOW! We'd like to show you these beautiful ladies!

We had some surprise visitors this week! It's not often we get to see something this cool. These 2 ladies made our week complete and for some of us conquer fears! Thank you for letting us all check them out and post their beautiful majestic pictures to our page!

And if they already didn't have the cutest darn dogs in their presence wait till you see the corn hole boards! Custom made, donated to them! We got a little sneak peek yesterday and everyone was talking about them! Just another reason to go check this event out

Our staff is not only dedicated to helping your pets in clinic, but a couple of them also live this life outside of the clinic and give everything they've got to helping rescues. This is one of the crews we work with and they are in serious need of help. Not only do they have the bill for cabbage with blue pearl but they've accumulated another this past week and unfortunately lost the battle and lost one of their sweet babies, but cute little Cabbage is thriving in memory of his lost furiend and asking for your help!

They are holding an event at Tanners in Kimberly to help raise money for their veterinary bills with an emergency ER, and as you all know, the prices are impossible with those places.

Anything helps, if you'd like to make a donation and can't make it to the benefit, please contact the rescue and not our clinic, as their bill isn't with our facility.

Little did we know we had a new staff member to show around. He got the grand tour of the clinic and met all the ladies, he even beat us to getting his rabies vaccination! Mr. Dallas is ready to start being a veterinarian!

Halloween is approaching and we love seeing your fur friends in their costumes! What better way to get the pictures rolling in than to start it with this cute boy!

Let's see those costumes!

Just a friendly reminder. This time of year is no time to stop giving flea preventatives. Fleas are looking for a warm place to survive and jump on your furiends to survive the winter which is why we suggest treating all year! We have many options to choose from, so don't forget to pick some up to help keep those little buggers out of your life!

With school already underway, here are some tips to help your four-legged pals get used to the post summer schedule.

We know this time of the year can be ruff on your furry friends with lots of loud booms! If your pet needs a little assistance with the booms don't wait until last minute to get your refills on prescriptions. A lot of people are in the same boat with their pets and we don't want to run out of things you need and if your pet needs to be seen before we can fill them we don't want to turn you away!

That being said, we don't often check our fb messages so it isn't the best way to get ahold of us...please get ahold of the office by either calling, text, or email.

Some tips to help your pets during this time...

Go outside with them, don't leave them unattended outside. If you have a runner, please leash them and make sure they can't get out of their collars or harnesses.

Make sure your pets name tags are updated with your current information. Make sure the tags are on your pets when you let them out.

If you have a fence and they can get under it, use things to block off that spot so they don't try to go under it.

Shut your blinds and turn on some music or TV loud enough that they ignore the fireworks.

Give them a place to hide.

If they are chewers/destroyers (we know their out there) make sure you put things up or away so they don't harm themselves or your house.

If you have anything that works for you and your pet feel free to share in the comments!

Just a friendly reminder to keep a look out for your nosy fur friends. Keep the symptoms listed in this article below in mind and don't hesitate to call your veterinary staff. Be honest with them so they can treat your babies properly!

Ma*****na is not new, but it is the most popular illicit drug in the United States. Here's what IS new: with the legalization and decriminalization of the product, plus the availability of synthetic versions, ma*****na toxicity in pets is on the rise.
