Maisy previously lived in a home with another cat. She had some unexpected weight loss and came into our care when her owner was unable to get her the care she needed. Once in our care it was discovered Maisy had hyperthyroid and would need a twice daily medication. Maisy is a social and spirited cat who would love a home for her to reign over like the princess she is. Maisy is currently located in a foster home.

Bella is newly available for adoption. She is a wonderful 6 1/2 year old Beagle Mix. Her parents had to make the tough decision to help her find a new home as they are elderly and moved into assisted living. She is currently in foster care and doing great with her dog friends.

One of our incredible volunteers took a few minutes to sit down amongst this awesome crew and got some wonderful photos.

Here's what she had to say about them:
All I had to do was sit on the floor and I had three cats in my lap! Appaloosea, Clydesdale, & Breton (the white ones) and Rocket (all black) are super friendly. Rattler, Espiria, and Tangelo still need to watch me for a while before they will come check me out.

Waldo is wondering "What's a dog's favorite mode of transportation?" Staff responded with "A waggin"

As you can see he's thought that was an absolutely hilarious joke!

Get ready for non-stop fun and kisses with Waldo! This little ball of energy is not only an expert cuddler but also a zoomie pro! This goof ball's signature moves are spinning in circles just because he's so happy, and flailing his legs as he runs after toys. Waldo loves giving kisses and receiving belly rubs, and his sweet, affectionate nature has melted the heart of everyone he meets. He wants to be friends with every dog he sees, and will play bow and spin around to show his excitement! He's working on his intros to other dog friends, since sometimes his quirky antics come off a little strong to other dogs. Although he can be timid when meeting new people, it doesn't take long for him to climb up onto anyone's lap and generously give kisses. We believe Waldo would do well in a home with older children, but sometimes young kids and their energy is intimidating for him. We aren't sure how Waldo would do in a home with cats at this time.

Meet Junior! He's been decompressing and getting some much needed TLC in an amazing foster home, but is on the hunt for his forever family! He's completely potty-trained, loves meeting new people that visit, and enjoys learning new things when treats are involved. Like all dogs, Junior is still working on quirks. Junior is nervous about traveling in the car and this is something he's working on. Junior also gets very excited by squirrels and bunnies on walks and wants to chase them, making some walks more eventful than others.

Here's what his foster parents have to say about him:

Junior is always smiling, and it is the sweetest thing. He is crate trained, he really doesn't need a crate, but he does like his crate. He is very resilient; he's been through a lot over the last month or two and he has come through it so well. Junior has not tried to "steal" anything from the dining room table or counters. We have not invited him into our bedrooms or on our furniture. He has not tried to get to any of them. That said, he loves to snuggle. If you are looking for a poochie that will climb into bed with you or hang out on the couch with you, we suspect he'd be there in about 1.5 seconds if you ask him. Junior has met young and old people in our home, and he loves them all. He also does not seem to have a preference between male and female humans. His favorite human if the one that is giving him attention. Junior thinks he's a big lap dog and loves to be near people. If you want a snuggly poochie, Junior is your dog!

We'll be at the Petco on Calumet in Appleton tomorrow! Come meet one of our adoptable dogs.

Update! Kamiah (center dog) will be there. She's a sweet 4 yr old girl who enjoys walks, is independent but loves snuggling and is easy to please. She does have some allergies, so please don't feed her your treats - we'll have some with us that we can share!

🚩🚩 TUG BOAT NEEDS AN ADOPTER OR FOSTER ASAP 🚩🚩

When Tug Boat was first posted we received multiple applications overnight. Unfortunately none of them panned out and after getting to know Tug Boat a little better it became apparent that he needs to be an only pet.
Tug Boat has made it very clear that shelter life is not the life for him. He is excessively drooling, whining, panting, and even licking his kennel door. This behavior is a clear cry for help and a result of overwhelming stress and fear of being in a shelter.

Tug Boat is a huge snuggler and LOVES human affection. He is also a complete gentleman on leash and does not ever have any accidents in his kennel.

Please reach out if you can help provide Tug Boat with some relief or a permanent home.

Toasty is 3 years old today!! Happy Birthday Toasty!

Clydsdale, Breton, Pony, and Esperia have just ended their time in foster care. As you can see they have learned alot of life lessons. Some of the most important have been watching movies and cuddling. They are back at the shelter and ready to meet you today (Saturday) during our open hours 1pm - 4pm.

🚨🚨FOSTER SECURED!🚨🚨 Junior is a bit of a mystery. He came with just his name and age (4 years) He may not be able to speak but quickly told us he needed help. He had been injured and had a limp and an infected wound on his tail. We quickly jumped into action to get him the help he deserves and will be following vet recommendations as we learn more about Junior. He will need surgery and medication to begin his recovery and a foster home to help him heal would be a blessing. Junior CAN NOT live with other cats or dogs. Being in the shelter hearing all the dogs barking and noises has been extremely stressful for him. He is a GIANT love muffin to humans and would be fine living with kids. This morning our shelter manager was in very early to help get our spay / neuter animals off to Madison. She finished that up and got in some quality snuggle time that Junior soaked right up. A well deserved thank you for all of Brittany's hard work every day. Please help us get Junior to a safe place where he can heal from his injuries both physically and mentally from his time being stressed at the shelter. Cutie alert!! We have alot of younger kittens that are ready for adoption. Little Kennedy here is ready to be your partner in crime! All of our kittens are vaccinated and fixed before coming home with you. We hope to see you at open hours this upcoming week! Stay warm.

Suki (Calico) and George (Orange & white) are the very last of their littermates waiting to be adopted. That's right they have seen the other kittens from their litter find the perfect home. Could you make all their wishes come true and adopt this amazing duo? George is more outgoing than his sister but as you can see she really opens up with him around.
