I am ECSTATIC, to say the least, that the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care has announced that the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) is considering their petition to form a new Registered Veterinary Specialty Organization- the American College of Veterinary and Palliative Medicine! They have just opened the period for public comment and want to hear from YOU (and your friends, family, and clients) that this represents a much-needed advancement in this area of veterinary medicine. Public comments are needed from both veterinary professionals' and pet owners' perspectives. Please help us show the AVMA how truly important end-of-life veterinary care is!

Behind the scenes, I've been working with this taskforce to implement a written scope of practice for Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) in Michigan. In addition to that, this taskforce will be working on title protection & enforcement of that title protection. We started with the general scope of practice items which is what is included in this survey. We have gotten lots done and lots more to go. Take the survey and get your voice heard.

Sometimes it can be tough to attend the things we want to with 3 children with two under the age of 5. So when opportunities come up to support in other ways, I try to fit it into my budget.
